We home school because I don't just want my kids to receive an education, I want my kids to love learning. I'm able to tailor her lessons to suit her individual learning style and I get to experience it all with her! We have such an amazing time together! I never thought I would home school but I can't imagine not doing it now!

post #226 of 5941/21/13 at 5:15pmI would love to homeschool my sweet girl, I am struggling so hard with her being at public school. sometimes I feel that everyday she goes she loses a little bit of who she is and what makes her so special. I am a masters student and single mom so we could study together!
post #227 of 5941/21/13 at 5:20pmHomeschool because no one will ever be able to teach your child the way you WANT them to be taught unless you do it yourself! Also, it lets your child learn at their own pace in their own environment.post #228 of 5941/21/13 at 5:20pmI shared on FB!post #229 of 5941/21/13 at 6:33pmWhy Homeschool? We've nearly survived our first year of regression through public education kindergarten. We have 2 more children that will be coming up through the education system, and don't want them to spend even a year going through what my firstborn has. Homeschooling is now our first choice & we can't wait to get started!
post #230 of 5941/21/13 at 6:59pmWhy Homeschool?
Homeschool was just the right choice for our family. My DD#1 was bored with school and had lost her zeal for learning. To cut a very long story short, we now accomplish a first grade curriculum at home while being able to encourage extra activities tailored to her needs and interests.
post #231 of 5941/21/13 at 7:30pmHomeschooling is a wonderful opportunity to be able to do with your child(ren) where both parent(s) and child can learn together and have a bond that is amazing.

post #233 of 5941/21/13 at 7:49pmWe homeschool because we can! Seriously, it is simply just the best option for our family.
post #234 of 5941/21/13 at 7:50pmI homeschooled all my children and now my daughters are going to homeschool my grandchildren. It was amazing to have my kids with me all the time. I learned as much as they did. We were able to travel with my husband and have so many amazing memories. We are currently looking for curriculum for my granddaughter and it would be great to win this curriculum!post #235 of 5941/21/13 at 8:06pmI want to spend time investing in my child's development of values and love of learning. I also want to provide a flexible schedule through homeschooling that allows him to pursue his interests and talents.

post #237 of 5941/22/13 at 12:29amWhy homeschool? It was no one thing, but a combination of many factors that have led us on the path we're on now. One reason is that I want to teach my son to think for himself, not to think what others demand he think to test well. Not even me. I want him to have the opportunity to look at all aspects of an issue and come to his own conclusions. There is a lifestyle in that process than only homeschooling can truly give.
It's been a happy choice and we're both thriving.

post #239 of 5941/22/13 at 2:26amWe homeschool for so many great reasons. We love to be together! We want to share as much of the world with our kids as possible. We want them to love learning and I think we provide that for them. Couldn't have made a better decision!
post #240 of 5941/22/13 at 6:15amHomeschool because sticking 30 same aged children in one room to memorize things just seems too strange. And we live in a bad district and private school isn't affordable.Return HomeBack to Forum: Learning at Home and Beyond- Enter to Win a Homeschool Curriculum and Gift Basket from Oak Meadow!
