I have no objection or judgement of the elderly getting any vaccine because they do not want to get sick or are not ready to die (and think a vaccine might stave this off…) but I get a little squirmy when people talk about vaccinating to protect the very elderly from the flu (and not only because I think the flu vaccine does not work in the elderly). There is a big fear of dying in our culture. I get it when it comes to young people, less so when it comes to the elderly.
Flu beats cancer, alzhiemers, etc as a way to go.
