Birth Certificate in Alameda County, Ca

I post this on Jan 16 2013. 

 

I just want to summarize what I've found calling the office today.

I hope it may help someone who need this. 

 

Below shows the documents you need to prepare before register the birth.

You can call at 510-267-8075 when you have any question.

1) if you are married you don't need to sign up "decalaration of parternity and acknowledgement of paternity". The marriage could happen any place include outside USA. You can just say you are married to your husband and that's it. You don't need any document of proof of marriage. 

2) you can refuse New Born Screening test. She said there is a form prepared for an refusal. 

3) You can show up at the office before baby turn 1year old to get BC in Alameda county.
