If you have any doubts about co-sleeping or waking to meet the needs of your kids, please listen when I say you are doing the right thing!
My kids are 7 and 9 now. And, I just went back to work full time. I am so thankful for the co-sleeping tradition we started. Now, sometimes night is the only time that we can connect, and when they really need it, when we are feeling really far apart, I tell them to hop in my bed.
I know it is often tiring and annoying and believe you me when I got my bedroom back years ago, I was a new woman. But now I am so, so thankful for our snuggly traditions. There are times when the kids are laying their heads on my arm, that take me right back to the brand new stage that was so precious and so intense. I am so thankful for that.
I am also thankful for the MDC community for supporting me in the baby years. I am back, and heading over to working parents.
Goodnight!
