Not sure how people do this.

I am going to try and explain this the best way I can, I hope someone can make sense of it. I have issues with knowing when something needs to get cleaned. Like I look at the room and think it's pretty okay and someone else will point out 1,000 things that I probably should have noticed, but didn't. By the time it occurs to me, I should consider cleaning I have no clue where to begin. I have the bad habit of literally getting buried in stuff without really noticing it is happening, until I am neck deep in it. I am wondering how others keep from getting neck deep in stuff they didn't even notice was creeping up.

www.aslobcomesclean.com/ is a blog for you.

I am pregnant with #3, feel poorly and notice the creep of it looks ok, to it looks like crap overnight.

What helps is routine. You run the dishwasher every night because you do. You always vacuum on Tuesdays. It takes your subjective vision out if the equation. Once you get used to the new clean(ish) normal, your internal monitor starts to reset and that should help.

Taking photos of a room also makes it easier to see what should get done.
