currently miscarrying :(

Beta came back at 7.5 today. Progesterone 0.2.

Heavy cramping and almost full period-like bleeding now. I've never experienced as confirmed m/c before. I think I had one in 2000 but the pregnancy was never confirmed as I didn't test and didn't know I was pg until the weird symptoms started and timing was off.

I have just gotten used to the idea of baby #2 after a surprise this weekend, and DD is constantly playing with her imaginary little sister (we didn't tell her anything - she just decided she wanted a little sister 2 weeks ago). So it's a bummer. Why do things always have to happen when DH is out of town and I'm on my own with DD? Thankful for Klonopin right now.

It was so exciting and hopeful to have a surprise pregnancy at 42 after trying for 16 months to do IVF/IUI with my first. Oh well. I guess it could have been any of the meds and supplements plus antibiotics & cold meds etc. I was on for POTS and a sinus infection the full 2 weeks past ovulation (which I stopped when I got my BFP). Or a blighted ovum, or a molar, or hopefully not ectopic.

Sad anyway. Best of luck to the rest of you. I'll be thinking of my missed babe and all your newborns come next Sept.

also, I'm on beta blockers for tachycardia syndrome and PVC's. When I got my BFP I called my doc who was out of the office. The on-call doc said to stop my meds. So I got tachycardic with BP and HR fluctuations and had major adrenaline surges for two nights. The next day I started spotting. I think the cortisol/adrenaline caused more trouble than my meds would have if I had kept taking them. So if there's anyone to blame, it the on-call who didn't know about my POTS and subjected the embryo to high levels of cortisol which we know causes m/c. How could I have known or done anything different? such a missed chance over something someone said who was really stupid. really sux. makes me wonder if I should inform the doc office about the outcome.

thank you. it's been a roller coaster 7 days. Just when I got used to the idea and became excited and happy, I lost it.

Maybe there is some meaning in this I can find.
