Can I watch kids while I try and obtain my childcare license?

I live in the state of California, the kids I would be watching wouldn't be family. My goal is to start the licensing process but I would like to start watching a kids and bringing in a income.

Hmmmmmm. Not sure what the laws are there but I assume babysitting is legal. Maybe check with local law and maybe the people behind the licensing process you're working on.

Depends on your state. In my state you can watch the children of one family other than yours - that family could have 1 child or 5 but it must be 1 family.
