We are in the same boat. We've got the funk here and it's making us all pretty miserable. I have thrown up twice today, but not sure if it's the funk or more pregnancy-nausea. (It acted
like pregnancy-related, but I was hoping that was passing...).
Anyhow- I am fighting fire with fire as much as I can. I've neti potted 3 times today, I've taken 1000 mg (well, 1 g, I guess) vitamin C about every 2 hours, had three huge mugs of chamomile with lemon and honey, and took a long nap with DS this afternoon. I also did an Ayurvedic healing technique called oil pulling, if any of y'all are familiar. Basically I swished coconut oil in my mouth for 20 min before spitting it in the toilet. It is supposed to have marvelous short and long-term effects (it always whitens my teeth immediately!), but I have only done it a few times so can't attest to long-term. I also have a cotton ball with peppermint oil that I swab under my nose when my nose gets a bit foggy. Anyway, not sure what has done the trick or if it all has, but my sore throat is significantly better tonight, my breathing clearer, and my head has stopped pounding. Still going to keep it up until I'm well. I need to remember to do more of this stuff on a maintenance basis so I don't GET so sick.
I love my neti pot too! I also have done oil pulling, but I didn't like it with coconut oil so did sesame oil. I was doing it pretty regularly for a while, but then stopped, maybe I should start it up again. Right now I'm just having lots of hot fluids (herbal tea and chickpea-miso soup) and it seems to be helping.
