Haha, it was before or I am sure my sister with her week old baby would have raised hell all the way from Canada.

Aww, BK, Banana, and Stormi, I hope your relationship issues settle down soon.  That's no fun to deal with, especially on top of feeling sick (and even more so in Stormi's case). grouphug.gif

We have been dealing with our bad cold all week.  DH got over it pretty quickly (because I made him rest), I had an extra bad day because I had a bad allergic reaction to working in my home office, it had accumulated a lot of clutter and between that and the carpet there was tons of dust in there.  DH felt bad and cleaned it all out and finally got inspired to start work on a project we've been planning for a while which is to rip the carpet out and put hardwood in instead (we've had the hardwood here for a while now).

DS got it worse than either of us and had a fever for a few days, very needy, inconsolable a lot of the time, barely ate, went from nursing once every 2-4 days to 5-6 times a day this week (ouch my poor nipples).   He finally turned a corner yesterday afternoon after a couple of naps on the couch and seems to be doing much better although still wiped out.  I'm wiped out too, exhausted from him being up a lot at night.  Luckily my new position at work lets me work at home as needed a lot of the time.

Had some good news this morning though. smile.gif  Had the NT scan and got the blood screening results back, everything looks good.  So nice to see baby again, and what a change from the last time.  He/she was twirling and doing somersaults all over the place, made it very challenging for the u/s tech (who had a great sense of humor).  Have not gotten MaterniT21 results yet, they are supposed to call with that.  Regular bloodwork was mostly good, was slightly low on vit D, but they weren't concerned as I'm already taking extra, and slightly elevated on TSH, I'm just supposed to check in with my family Dr about that.

Somegirl- Congratulations on your good NT results. I'm waiting for my MaterniT21 results as well (my NT results also came back great!). Since I took the test on the 17th, I'm somewhat expecting to get results on the 29th because I've read that 8 business days is pretty common. Also, I think Tuesdays are a common day to get results, so I'm really hoping for that phone call on Tuesday. Hopefully you get your results soon!!

Somegirl: can I ask what your TSH levels are? I'm ordinarily v interested in thyroids, and fascinated while preg. glad to hear ultrasound went so well!

I too am recovering from a cold. while it has dampened my sense of smell, my nausea has not abated. I had a great weekend. Went to California for college friend's baby shower. Stayed in a house w 2 other couples who brought their babies (1 yr and 9 mos). really slightly terrifying for seeing how much work they require, but amazing how much joy they create.

I am 13 weeks and have felt the bump when on my stomach for over a week now.  So I am with you on that Heather. I love feeling it and hope that if I lower my sleep number on my bed, I can lay on my stomach longer.  Of course, laying on my stomach doesn't ensure sleep.

ESP has been up and banging in his room everyday this week until 1 or 2 in the morning.  Not sure why but he is not falling asleep, he's fed, dry, and usually laughing while he is doing it.  He may just feel like it is too much fun to be asleep. The problem for me is that if I do not fall asleep in the early part of the night, I cannot seem to get to sleep at all.  Anyone esle with a poor sleeper, special needs or typical, making getting enough rest with a new baby on they way impossible?  If ESP, continues to not fall asleep until the early AM, I am going to call my OB on Monday and see if there is anything like benadryl I can take temporarily to get some sleep.

You might try Natural Calm magnesium for both of you. Safe, effective, and a nutrient most of us are deficient in.
