Woodchick - make sure you take before and after pics - your program sounds good and sometimes your body changes for the better significantly while the scale does not follow immediately. Two pounds is great!

Oh mama, what crappy news.  Sounds like you have a good doctor and an amazing attitude!   And reading your post makes me think I should get in for a physical.   I'll be thinking of you.

Weigh in day!

I am 180.4.  Thought it would be a bit more, but I did have a beer and a small drink with dh last night.  Alcohol always messes me up.

Day 8!

Breakfast  -- oatmeal, sunflower seeds, banana, tea with milk (7)

Lunch -- brown rice, eggs, broccoli, tea with milk (9)

Dinner -- chicken/veggie/rice of some kind.....

Sooo, life is busy and hectic and that's why it slipped my mind. The nompower contributed also. I am currently 185lb. I am doing WW. but.... I am constantly hungry. I am not doing the Points Plus plan, but the old Points system, using the materials that I had from 2005.

Does anyone else do the new Points Plus system? I would love to chat with you about it, if so.

I have done both and prefer the old school Point system.  The new system allows limitless veggies and fruit and I just cannot cope with the idea of 'limitless' when it comes to eating.  I need the structure of counting all of my fruit.  But then, portion control has always been my biggest issue.

And yes, I am a little hungry.  I am getting used to it.  Mostly.

162.7

i probably would have done better than -0.3 lb  .... if i hadn't treated DD1 to an "all you can eat buffet" on Saturday => am hoping that it will be a good lesson to us both, she couldn't face the thought of going to her horse-riding class after such a meal & now, that i've seen the inside of this new restaurant .... i hope i'll have the willpower to not go back since i know that it's too difficult for me to keep to a single platefull of food at one sitting ...

am doing better at portion control for the moment ... (when i'm home, that is ...)

today i didn't get to swim but i made sure i had a long walk

135.6! biggrinbounce.gif

I kept up with my HIIT exercises this week. They are challenging but I think it's fun. smile.gif Diet wise... I did good on keeping under my carb limit (60 g a day) I had spaghetti with the family on Thursday but just used a small dish and measured out my portions (and I only went over on that to about 70 g) It's been a good week. thumb.gif

Is today weigh in day?

I was 139 this morning.

:)  Hoping to stick to 138-139 (without increasing back to 140) for a few days more, then move down to 136-137.  This method of loss typically results in long term loss for me.

149 today!

2 pound loss.

had a crappy-ish binge last night.  I don't think it really effecting my caloric intake for the day, as I hadn't eaten much all day.  it sure felt gross, though.  from going grain and sugar free to handfuls of goldfish and chocolate chips.  but today is a new day!  I came away with a really good lesson - I REALLY need to be vigilant about keeping ready-made food in the fridge.  cooking double at supper time, stashing away leftovers, whatever.  something, so that when hunger strikes, I have good stuff to eat and I don't get stressed and upset and head for the junk.

The bad news:  I'm at 158.2 (+0.2 from last week).

The good news:  I've started on a very low carb diet that seems to be helping me overcome the urge to binge.  It may be a placebo effect, but I'll take it.  I haven't had a binge episode in 4 days!  I do think I will need to start working on balance in this low carb diet, as I thinking I'm swinging too far in the meat/fat/nuts direction vs. the vegetable direction.  Overall, though, I'm feeling really proud of myself, and more in control of my eating than I've felt in a long time.

I did fall short on my exercise this week.  The cornerstone of my exercise is walking with my daughter, but the big snow and sloppy roads is making that tough.  When DBF isn't home I do Thrill the World after DD goes to bed :)  But I definitely need to find a way to up the exercise this week.

I'm so bummed I just found this thread!  I would have loved to join in but i guess I'll just linger till the next round!!!! I'm still trying to lose the extra weight from my 2 pregnancies... it makes me sad that i've had to lose 25lbs to STILL be the biggest i've EVER been!!!! So i have 25ish lbs left to lose and I hope to join in on the next round (hopefully i'll just have 12lbs left to go by then!!!)

GOOD LUCK LADIES!!

I was actually 150 (+2) this morning but I did remember to weigh in after having 2 cups of water and having eaten. I will weigh again tomorrow morning just to be sure. I think that, even though I don't think that I ate a lot of carbs, our Saturday evening dinner at Golden Corral did not help. blush.gif

I am weighing in at 245.0 down 0.8 pounds and I will take it.

I love the new WW plan where fruits and veggies are free. I seriously can't eat that much fruit before I stop anyway and it is better for me to reach for fruit than reach for a 100 calorie snack pack of some processed food. Portion control is my nemesis.  I need to keep up with that.  I think I will start posting what I eat and exercise too on this thread because I need a bit more focus on what I eat and exercise to make the next 8 weeks go buy quickly. In about 1 month I start my IVF cycle and I would like to be down to 239 pounds by then.

OK, it said 148.2 this morning. That's better than 150!

Sorry, I missed weight in day! Mondays are the busiest days for me. I am still the same: 162!!! I need to probably to cutdown some calories, but i feel stressed out at times and I eat chocolate!smile.gif)) I will try to be aware of this, I will also drink protein powder shakes I make just with milk and ice. It seems to help a lot with cravings and energy.

Well, I think I actually did lose some but I can't really count it.  I used my moms scales last week because I hadn't gotten mine yet, and I just got mine.  Weighed in at 170

I could go back and see what hers say, but in the interest of starting continuity with my own, I'll stick with this for this week.
