The baby made me eat it! - Page 6

Today = fail. Donuts (plural...very plural), sliver of cake, chili cheese fries, and sweet tea. I feel so jiggly.
I was craving donuts last week. Too bad we don't have any donut shops around and I am too lazy to make any.

My normal grocery shopping list = organic fresh fruits & veggies, farm fresh organic eggs, etc

Last nights grocery shopping= mini marshmallows, spearmint gum drops, plain goldfish crackers, mint cookie ice cream, starlight mints, sparkling grape juice, and organic applesauce. Eeek

I don't eat at Rotten Ronnies usually but I did the other night, same as you a Big Mac. Usually I find their food aside from the fries, nasty and vile but I scarfed that burger down so fast that it was gone before my husband left the parking lot. I can't stomach chicken right now - thinking about it, seeing it, cooking it, smelling it makes me want to lose my stomach - yuck! DH gave me crap tonight saying I need to eat better! Well I would like to if I could hold the food that I put into my belly down and not bring it back up. He thinks morning sickness is "funny."

I love your grocery shopping lists DaisyTree! Too funny!! I never know one minute to the next what will 'sound' good to eat. I've been beyond picky lately and basically nothing sounds good to eat. Then, out of the blue, I'll get a craving for something and bam, I have to eat only that thing. The next day, it will be something completely different, DH is having to eat a lot of left-overs by himself!!!

Night before last, I had 1/2 of a tuna fish sandwich on rye (I hardly ever eat tuna and I hate mayonnaise) and 10 minutes later had 1/2 of a pb&j on ezekiel, am I weird or what?!?

DaisyTree- Your shopping list sounds like my life lately.

The only vegetable I can eat is broccoli so everything healthy has gone out the window.

Today the baby made me eat macaroni & cheese, organic nitrate free hot dogs, french fries, soup, frosted flakes, and cupcakes. My stomach is so sick but I can't stop.

We stopped at a local bakery/deli/butchershop place here. Normally I get a coffee from them since I don't go often and they have amazing coffee. I figured I would let myself go for some caffeine this morning. But as soon as I got there I realized that nothing except a bottle of lemonade and a doughnut were going to be acceptable so I ate them happily instead although now I kinda want the coffee.

toothfairy, I had the french fry craving today, too! Made DH cook me up a batch in the oven and he laughed at how quickly I inhaled them. Oddly enough I only want crinkle cut. Other kinds sound a little gross.

Last night we had to make a late night run to CVS because I NEEDED Valentine's candy, specifically the heart-shaped Sweet Tart flavored gobstoppers. I swear they make these but they did not have them, so I got Sweet Tarts, Spree, and Nerds instead. Ate 3 sweet tarts and lost all appetite for the rest. Other random cravings today: watermelon, JELLO, and hard shell tacos from Chipotle (no meat).

Dill pickle potato chips and multiple kinds of gummy candy. Not sure what it is about gummy candy, I craved it big time last pregnancy.
My morning sickness is easing up a little so finally the foods I am craving don't make me horribly sick. Thank goodness!

The beef muchaco's from Taco Bueno have been treating me well lately, I had one on Thursday and one yesterday and they totally hit the spot. I feel like I'm getting somewhat of a handle on this eating thing, or maybe I'm just getting lulled into a false sense of security, time will tell...

I thought I was over the worse of the food stuff. I haven't been as nauseated the last few days and could go longer periods without eating. I'm on vacation with my parents and siblings and last night we went to a steak house. I knew from a previous experience steak was not going to work (tastes like raw hamburger meat) so I got what I thought work be a yummy chicken sandwich. I took a bite and almost lost it. The chicken was just too chicken-y. Does that make sense? Haha I ate one bite. That's it. And the fries were also yucky. Dang it mouth be normal again.

Yes! I miss my relationship with food! I love food and now, I dread eating. I also dread not eating. I miss how good food tastes greensad.gif

I gave in to my pancake craving and had them covered in golden syrup for lunch. It has been a long time since I have been so unhealthy!

Well I just had McDonald's for lunch at the airport. I got a chicken sandwich and it wasn't too chicken-y. I think since it was super unhealthy and deep fried. Awesome job mouth, way to keep me healthy 😉

I just read the whole thread so far, and now I'm craving things I hadn't even bothered to think of. Lol.

My two actual cravings so far have been Taco Bell-which seems to be common among most women I've talked to, it just tastes better while pregnant; and Shirley temples.

Emphasis on the Shirley Temples. And it has to be in a styrofoam cup. Has to. I hadn't had one in probably a decade, and the other night I HAD. TO. HAVE. ONE. When I was a kid, my dad owned a sports bar, so I think it's a throw back to that. There's just something about fountain sprite and grenadine that totally does it for me right now, and I'm not usually a soda drinker.

I'm on the Sprite as well, it really does seem to help a lot.

DH made me a fancy "cocktail" last night: basically a fruity Italian soda with a tiny dash of bitters and frozen berries instead of ice cubes. Mmm-mmm.

I've been making a non alcoholic version of my favorite cocktail, which is pretty much juice anyway lately: juice 1 orange, juice 1 lemon, juice 1 lime, 4-8 Tbs simple syrup (or sweetner of choice). Shake and serve. The alcoholic version is with gin.

Yes, it's a lot of sugar, but since it's more of a special occasion fancy type of thing, then I'm fine with it.
