The baby made me eat it! - Page 3
On the coffee note, most of the current reading says up to 200 mg per day of caffeine is acceptable during pregnancy. That's about 1 12 oz cup of coffee - depending on who made the coffee and what kind it is! Not all cups of coffee are made equally. I did not quit coffee during my last pregnancy and baby is completely fine. This time, I quit drinking coffee at the beginning of the cycle that I got pregnant, so I just haven't started drinking it again (with the periodic exception of a really yummy Starbucks mocha )
I did end up making it and it was perfect!
My recipe for this is nothing very special (avocado, tomato, salt, lemon juice), but since I can't eat spicy food (my spiciness tolerance is just about zero), I can't always eat the guacamole that's served in most places.
Chispita, your guac recipe is similar to mine except I use garlic salt and lime juice.
Haurelia; I think you're right about the fizziness, that seems to be the part I crave most.
I feel so guilty for eating so badly at the moment. I know it's bad for both me and the baby, but it's so hard to resist. I do wonder if the bad food is making me feel worse in the long run, but it's so hard staying healthy when I feel ill and have all these unhealthy cravings.
