Blood in cervical mucus?!

I've never had this before but noticed I've had blood tinged in my CM for the past 2 cycles a few days before ovulation, does anyone know what has caused this? And is it a bad sign for fertility or a sign of anything to do with infertility issues? It seems strange to happen suddenly when it never has before, and is it likely to continue each month from now on? I don't know if I should see a doctor, please advise me.

Also, it isn't like fresh blood as it is more brown in color than red, and I have had ovary cramping on the days when I noticed this blood in my cm. It is happening several days before I actually ovulate, so it can't be from the egg being released. Any ideas?

As you get closer to ovulating, your cervix opens up and turns pink as it fills with blood.  Sometimes the blood vessels can break and that causes a little spotting during your fertile time.  I'm not sure why it would be brown, but this is the closest thing I can think of.  Does anyone else have any thoughts?

No idea but this has been happening to me recently as well ( the last 3 cycles).

It happened to me this month early in my cycle. Pinkish blood anyway. It was days past my period too, so I should have been cleansed of that. Who knows.

Blood-streaked CF can be a very normal part of your cycle. In fact, it's a great indicator of being at a really fertile time in your cycle/ovulation. So take advantage of it! I've had this all during my teenage years and twenties around ovulation, stopped after I had DS1, has started up again these last two cycles after my m/c in November. It goes w/o saying though that if you think something really is wrong with your body see your HCP though. Good luck ladies! Hope you get those double lines soon!
