I don't know what the current recommendations are for introducing nuts due to allergies, but the only problem I can imagine re almond milk is a potential nut allergy. I don't think almond milk has as much fat in it, does it? You might want to make sure to include some more healthy fats in other places. I'm not that up on almond milk but you could post in the nutrition forum and ask about that.

As for the bottle, there is a suckling instinct until (on average) around 3 I think, so a lot of kids do hold onto those things they would suck on, be they bottles or pacifiers or thumbs, until then. I would be very gentle as he is holding onto it due to an instinct, not just stubborness. Maybe move one feeding from the bottle to a cup, and graudually increase how many times he has a cup instead of a bottle, until it's down to just one bottle before bed. And just that one bottle might not be a big deal - if it gives him comfort you might feel OK letting him stick with that one. I guess I'd just be very gentle. You could even start by giving him a bit in a bottle and then some in a cup to get him used to it. But it might take time, and that's OK. Also, even if he isn't handling it now doesn't mean he might not be more open to it soon. Sometimes it's partly about getting used to the idea of drinking out of a cup, and he'll get more familiar with it the more often you try, even if you just keep trying.
