Are you thinking maybe of a two-shoulder carrier? What qualities are you looking for? We need specifics, lol!

I would recommend one that has a wide shoulder; then, you can have it cup your shoulder and it makes it MUCH more comfortable. Some slings come with a very narrow shoulder, then you just have to have the sling rest on top of your shoulder; those were not comfy for me.

Hmmm... Hard to make a solid recommendation without knowing the age/weight of your baby, positions you like to wear him in, etc. But just going by what you said in your OP... In my experience a two shouldered carrier is much easier on the back than a single shoulder, especially once baby reaches that 20 lb or so mark. So if your main goal is to save your back I recommend something like a wrap or Asian-style baby carrier (structured like the Ergo, or unstructured like the Kozy).

HTH!

My favorite slings are the Ella Roo and the Zolowear sling. My Ergo runs a close second (third?) and I love it for the back carry.

Adria,
Did you mean the EllaRoo padded sling or the wrap sling?
