My techy husband will do this, but I don't think it's difficult.  It will just be a private youtube link that I'll give my friends, that will be showing the video live, while at the same time recording it as a youtube video.  Pretty cool!

I'm debating setting up the birth pool and space i plan to deliver now rather than waiting till we have some early labour. Instinctually I like having everything set up and in neat little piles but another part of me is like "what if i then have to look at all that for another 4 weeks?"

We set up the bed last weekend and the pool today (not filled). I'm 38 weeks and like to be prepared. It's in the basement so I don't have to see it constantly though! If I had to have it in the middle of the living room or something I might not have it up so early.

Hm... I think my homebirth to-do list is largely similar to what has been posted.

If I'm not already at home, getting home will be step 1. wink1.gif I work at a hospital so the running joke it labor will start while I'm at work and I'll have to leave the hospital to go home to have the baby.

Next up will be rally the support people, so get my husband A home if he isn't already, call our doula, call our midwives to have the apprentice come check on my progress and help set up the birth tub. While all this is going on, A will start some food for the team and I'll start listening to Hypnobirthing tracks.

Then it's baby time!

Where will you place your webcam? I figure viewers might not want to see my fireplace if I'm laboring in my room/bathroom vice versa! Haha!

I felt like i needed to set everything up, and did most of it at 37 weeks, then went down and rearranged my "little piles" (supplies, towels, blankets, birth kit stuff etc) about a week after that..  as someone else said though, it is set up in my basement so i don't have to look at it all the time - just once or twice a week .. i really feel better knowing its all there and ready to go, just add water! lol

Ok, so grabbing some tips and pointers from your lists, I think I have a good outline for the Big Day! In addition to this, someone else also suggested putting down chux pads on the trail leading to the bathroom, if it's carpet.
