Had an OB appointment today and my cervix is closed and high. Baby A isn't even engaged. I have no idea what was going on the other day but it sure as hell didn't do anything to my cervix!

Ellie!! We've been wondering about you and your babies! I am glad to hear all is well and they are still baking away smile.gif

I don't know if this would be possible for you, but as I mentioned before, I'm actually mostly sleeping on my Liberator ramp (not safe for work, though this is not what I use it for!):

http://www.liberator.com/ramp.html

It's a little harder for me to *get* to sleep than on my side, but I wake up with almost no hip/pubic symphysis pain, vs. lying on my side, even with all kinds of pillows/Snoogies/whatever-- then it's easier for me to fall asleep, but I wake up super-sore.  Surprisingly, it's so firm and keeps me up so high that I still, at almost 37 weeks pregnant, do not get numb or have any other issues from lying on my back and the (increasingly very heavy) baby pressing down on my artery/nerves.

Just in case it's useful to anyone!

I just wanted to say I got a good chuckle out of "ramp-bunctious" fun from liberator's website :P I had never seen one of these before.

oh, so glad to read this thread. i'm on my second babe, 36.5 weeks preggers. and i've been having lots of bh. last night i was having sensation on my cervix. kind of achy. i did call my mw, even though i just saw her a few hours before. she said, take a bath and rest. that is exactly what i needed. i was biking around all day, with my 3 yo in a child seat part of the time. it is an electric bike, so not so rigorous, but still a lot of pressure on my cervix area.

it was a good reminder to take it easy. i feel fine calling my mw anytime, mostly as i haven't asked for anything really this pregnancy, and she says she available anytime for me, so why not take advantage of it.

my blessingway is still 10 days off, so i'd love to make it till then at least!! who knows maybe i will go past my due date also.

whew, excited about this birth and glad i still have some time....

I've had the hemorrhoid thing too... I got my first tiny one after my first major growth spurt (I gained like 15 pounds in 2 months and baby jumped 1.5 weeks ahead on the growth scans), and then didn't get any more until my contractions started. I have noticed that they get better/worse with my contractions - I think that it's the increased pressure on everything when I have frequent contractions. Not a sign of impending birth for me obviously, either the hemorrhoids OR the contractions, since it's been happening for a good 7-8 weeks now!
