Ultrasound week: 1/28 - 2/1

Wow it seems like there are quite a few of us going for our mid-term ultrasound this coming week.  I see several have theirs on Monday, myself included, and a few others have theirs on Wednesday.  I can't wait to see how everyone's babe's are doing and how the sex lineup is shaping up for those of us who have elected to find out - assuming the kid gave a clear view.  I'll be sure to report back on Monday.

I'm on Monday too. Good luck to all!

I'm excited to see what everyones u/s reveals. We need a Boy/Girl/Waiting masterlist!

We had our scan this morning.

GIRL!  energy.gif

I have to return, though, in 4 weeks b/c she never was in a position for them to see all views of her heart. luxlove.gif  I also have marginal placenta previa (just a tiny bit of the placenta is covering the cervix) so they want to see how the placenta might move in 4 weeks.  Otherwise, all looked perfectly normal!

My anatomy scan was last Friday. Little one is doing great - everything is perfect in there!

Here are a few pictures...

And how anyone still doubts our baby's gender is beyond me! It doesn't take a pro to know what's going on here ...

Congratulations spotty!

SweetMama--So glad everything is great!  Maybe it's just me, but I can't see your photos.  Is it another boy?

I have my big u/s on Wednesday.  I should have some news then.

I had mine this morning and it's a boy!  I posted more in the I had an Ultrasound thread.  I think I may start a new poll so we can see what everyone found out.

Welp, color me shocked--it's a GIRL. I guess my daughter isn't psychic, and all of the old wives tales were WRONG! the pee-in-baking-soda test was right though, no fizz.

Sounds like me exactly. Minus the girl part. :-D
My OB was real affirming telling me that he believed it will move up but he would recommend another scan in a few weeks jut to make sure because he knows I want a homebirth so he realizes it is vital for me to know the placenta is in a good place.
Also as for the heart, my little babe is jumping all around so the OB and midwife (and me) weren't too concerned about that but will just look when we do another u/s in a few weeks (I went last Monday at 21 ish weeks.)
While part of me wants to refuse u/s giving my history I have actually become more thankful for them.

7:30 a.m. ultrasound this morning. Baby looked great. When we said we didn't want to know the sex, the sonographer didn't even bother checking-- so there's no record of it anywhere. It'll be a true surprise for both us and our caregivers.  smile.gif

Thanks for your information, amlikam!  Fingers crossed for both of us that our placentas move upward and away from the cervix!

I told my husband a few weeks prior to the anatomy scan that I did not want any more scans unless it was a medical necessity - less so a concern for the baby and more so a concern for the pocketbook.  But, it looks like we need at least one more.  At least it appears the baby is healthy and its me that has the potential problem.

Hope the placenta previas correct themselves!

Nice little story from our ultrasound consult-- at one point Ela bonked me in boob to get my attention and the doctor said "Hey! Don't punch your mom's boob! Unless you're asking for milk"and then he looked at me and said "though she's probably been done with that for a while now" and I was like "ehhhh...she still tries, but there just isn'tany milk left thesedays." And he was all "Oh! No wonder she's such a bright, inquisitive little girl, she's had plenty of the good stuff!" Which was nice to hear.
