Fabulous Forty Somethings TTC! - Page 20

Dr was unable to find heart beat and so I had another ultrasound. This is strange for me as I am, in general, opposed to ultrasound and hereI am having them all the time. I guess they are there for situations like this one. At any rate, baby is fine. Also, sch is gone. joy.gif

yay for heartbeats!

My next test date is Valentines day.

After two days of bleeding had stopped i tessted with an frer and it either had a faint positive still or a prominent evap line (I peed and did not look until morning). it has been a week since i tested so i hope i am on track ovulation wise.

i was def a little creeped out that test showed line next day though...started googling ectopic like a nutter.

I ordered opk and pg tests from ept.com today so will use those next cycle

http://www.canyouseealine.com/view_home_pregnancy_test.php?testID=44307

The test was too light to be pg at approx 18 dpo so either just picking up last of it in my system ot evap line.

I def see a line, albeit light. With my first mc I went in for hcg level checks afterwards and it took about a month to get back to zero. I've no idea how long it took the second time, but the third time (mc @ 4.5 weeks), I got pregnant again exactly 14 days after the first day of bleeding. I would guess your faint positive was leftover hcg. But I'm absolutely no professional and each woman is definitely different.

Caritasrainbow, wonderful news on the hearbeat! :joy

Thank you so much for sending healing prayers our way, I am so so happy you and others on this board are having healthy pregnancies and am sending good vibes your way, too. Did you get your Harmony results yet? Thank you for letting us know about the Missed Miscarriages forum, that is what I had and it might be helpful to check in there. I'll look for it.

Chilee, good to see you, too! I just checked my PM and am so happy to see your name. I still remember an adorable photo you posted of your last sweet babe. I'm so sorry you've had to experience your first loss. But I hope you'll soon be welcoming your next sticky bean... I do see a line on your test but am confused about where you are in your cycle. Did you ever have betas done? Do you have any idea if you ever zeroed out?

Gelato, how are you doing? Thinking of you.

AFM, I've finally recovered from the methotrexate but am still bleeding and my HPTs are still as dark as ever, so I guess it will take a long to get down to zero for me. Plunged into extreme business at work, I've had to just suck it up and deal. In a way, it's been therapeutic. Back to it...

Litmama I am testing negative now and I started bleeding day as cd1. I was only 5 weeks so sometime over the last week I zeroed out.

The test I showed was after bleeding stopped. We are bd every second day since cd 6...not an easy task while cosleeping with 3 kiddos! creative to say the least

cd 14 and I just checked fertility friend...i over estimated bd...lol. looks like we have only done it 3 times this cycle...but hey! thats a lot for us :P

chilee - good for you for jumping right back on the high-hormone bandwagon!  that's def enough BDing to get the job done... best of luck to you!

If y'all ever want me to stop posting here, just say so. I know that on a ttc list, generally once pregnant one leaves. Y'all have been so supportive through each of my three losses, I can't imagine going elsewhere. I guess because mainly I still worry daily about things not lasting. My 11 year old and 6 year old have each had nightmares about the baby dying. I hadn't realized how traumatic my first loss was for them. I did not tell them the second two times.
Anyway, I got my Harmony results today after much prodding. The nurse had to call the lab and get the results over the phone. Everything looks normal and low risk. Woo hoo! Also, on Monday the tech guessed girl (I was 11w 5d) and she was right!!
No more tests or appts for a full four weeks.

I stayed on this board for a long time before joining a Ddc too. This was my comfort spot

CD 16 here. BD 3 times so far since CD 6. Not temping anymore but used to o on CD 16. Will BD tonight . No ewcm but I hope our timing will work...sometimes cosleeping sucks.

Welcome McGhee! Your name looks familiar...
Kmfx for you chilee. I found that Maca root and omega 3, 6, 9 helped with making more ewcm. I guess that's a sign of aging? Not having so much of it? Even after I used those things and made some, it only lasted for a day. I remember when it lasted for several days. So I guess you are in the tww about now! Crossing all my fingers and toes.

Hi all,

I'm 43.5 and just got positive pregnancy test so I will be 44 when (if) baby is born. (this was our 3rd month of trying).. I'm also still nursing my 3.5 year old. So I'm wondering if any one here has nursed a toddler through the pregnancy and what it was like? Good luck to every one :)

Congratulations and welcome! I nursed one through most of a pregnancy. At about 6 months into the pregnancy I had lost most of my milk and my nipples felt really really sore, so I had a talk with my dd and we agreed it was okay not to nurse anymore after that. Hth

thanks and congrats to you as well! ok great, if we make it to 6 months i'll be happy because he'll be over 4 years old by then. wasn't sure it was even possible to get preg at 43. first two times we tried I got pregnant and had chemical pregnancies. so I freaked out because my 1st baby was conceived on the first try. so then I started acupuncture 6 weeks ago, maybe that's what helped? In my desperation I also consulted a medical astrologer because I really needed to know if my son was going to be an only child or not and she was certain I would get pregnant by March but she felt January looked stronger and lo and behold it happened! she says I could have even more children if I wanted and I said oh no, two is plenty for me! i'm truly amazed because they say it's near impossible after 42. well here's to a healthy pregnancy and baby for both of us :)

thanks and good luck to you! I really hope your embryos stick! I know for me the medical astrologer helped me a lot, no more wondering "if"...but "when".

The medical astrologer I used is Rosemarie Brown and I also consulted a Vedic astrologer as they can tell you fated things as well and is very good at telling you when. For instance a Vedic astrologer can tell you if you will have children at all and how many with pretty good accuracy. If they tell you you have poor chances of having a child they will also give you a spiritual remedy to try to appease the problem energy (yes it seems strange to some one not from India), so it's not hopeless even if it looks really bad to a Vedic astrologer. They can also look at the chart of your first child and determine if it shows they will have siblings or if they are the last born. Both astrologers agreed I would get pregnant again. Rosemarie said by March (esp. January looked very strong to her) and the Vedic astrologer said to prepare for conception in the first quarter of 2014 and he says it will most likely be a girl child. It took a lot of my worry away because I really wanted to know IF there would even be another baby or was it a waste of time to try. A medical astrologer is better at telling you when it will happen and also what the possible reasons are for infertility based on your natal chart so as to work on those problems. I think the acupuncture was pretty amazing too.

it won't let me send u a private message so just type in a search for "Rosemarie Brown medical astrologer", and it's very easy to find a Vedic astrologer by internet search. I think they are all good. I used Light on Vedic Astrology, just my preference. I picked Rosemarie because she uses Uranian planets as well as traditional.
