Add sensitive, inflamed, bleedy gums to the list. I don't normally have this issue. I'm upping my flossing and will start gargling with salt water.

A gum stimulator can help too. It helps to strengthen the gum area that is bleeding. The dental hygienist showed me and when I stick to it, it really works.

Naturelle, you could try accupuncture.  I had some good luck with this earlier on for a similar type of pain (along with chiro, massage and yoga).  Acupuncture can relieve/reduce swelling, so that's why it can reduce this type of pain (ie: decreases swelling in the area, thus less pressure on nerves, etc.).  If anyone starts suffering with swelling I highly recommend acupuncture.  It was the only thing that made the last 2 months manageable for me last time and if I missed going I suffered for it big time.

Can I list wanting to strangle DH as a 3rd trimester symptom? That, and nesting. The two kind of go hand in hand over here.

Hahahaha yes!  Same here.  My DH is a smoker, which I always find absolutely vile (of course he smokes outside, not in the house!).  But my sensitive pregnancy nose is finding it UNBEARABLE.  He just seems to always reek of an ashtray.  Disgusting.

lol.gif at wanting to strangle DH, pregnancy for me amplifies emotions, so I go from being mildly annoyed to rage sometimes with DH on certain things, so I try to bite my tongue until my brain can catch up and let me know if this is something I would normally be this pissed about!

I do this too, and then I feel miserable 'cause I can SEE  I'm being totally unreasonable and miserable. Hate it. Have been trying to just go lay down instead.

I am feeling SO TIRED today. Have got to catch up on sleep. No work or school for the next 3 nights so I'm going to go to bed with DD every night at like 8. That should do it  :)

Yuck yuck yuck! DP was sneaking butts at work (he is an ex smoker but occassionally is an idiot and smokes again til I find out and beat him) and I had SUCH a hard time with it. His boss told him if he saw him smoking he'd tell me- I haven't caught a whiff since   ;)  SUCH a turn off. Sex is always off the table when I find out he's smoking again  ;)  Cruel but it tends to work, and I just am not attracted to him when he's a smoker.

Anyone dealing with belly pain! Right at and around my navel (Which is quite well stretched right now) if I touch it even tenderly, it hurts much as a strained muscle would. Normal?

I have had a spot on my belly with each pregnancy that hurts pretty much constantly.  It's a few inches above my navel and slightly to the left side.  I think I even iced it a few times with DD2.

I am so tired of my tummy being upset all the time.  I am trying to make good food choices but the only things that sound good are NOT healthy.  9 more weeks.  9 more weeks.

I think I am getting that "mask of pregnancy" thing, just a few small brown spots on my face, but weird!

OM - I had that last time, but not yet this time.

I've been having indigestion too.  I woke up (well, was woken up by DS) at about 2 am last night and had a really hard time falling back to sleep.  It felt like I was too full (like at a huge Christmas dinner and regret it later full), but I ate supper at 5pm and it wasn't a huge or heavy meal (scrambled eggs with peppers, mushrooms and turkey sausage and some hash browns (baked).  So I dunno.  Maybe I'll have some ACV before bed tonight and see if it helps.

Yeah, it's lovely, good thing I already have lots of freckles on my face so it isn't that noticeable smile.gif I didn't get it last time so I was extra surprised!

I missed this, but yeah sounds pretty normal to me. With everything getting so stretched, I have the occasional spots that are painful and a lot of women get belly button pain (I don't have this yet anyway). Usually mine are on the ligaments as they stretch out more.

OM, I am not sure if this is what you are feeling, but just came across this on spinning babies and thought of you:

There are other signs, besides back pain, that indicate that the uterus may not be in position for an ideally positioned baby. Especially, in pregnancy, other signs are more reliable.

A tight spot in the broad ligament will feel, to the mother, as if there is a tight, and often tender, spot in her uterus. It might be near the top or to one side. When the baby's bottom, or head, pushes against this tight spot, it can cause tenderness, a heat, or actually hurt a little. The broad ligament naturally softens at the end of pregnancy. But, for a woman with a breech or posterior baby, her baby may have grown larger and held in that position by one or both tight round ligaments. Special technques would be done to release the tight ligament, such as Walchers.

When the midwife or doctor feels the lower abdomen to find the baby's head their fingers will press on the round ligaments.  Pain during this part of the abdominal exam reveals tension in the round ligaments. Tension on one or both sides may be associated with both breech and posterior fetal position. (As is a rotated sacrum, but that may not cause the mother any pain.)

This talks about a tender spot on the uterus as opposed to the belly like you are describing, but I don't know how a tender uterus would feel, it might feel as if it is in the muscles of the belly?

I have that tight spot too, as well as the tenderness down low (when midwife it checking fetal position), it feels like a combo of bruise and zinger/nerve pain (like when you bump your elbow). I also have a rotated sacrum (seeing a chiro for that). Thankfully, babe is currently LOA, but I should probably take my midwife's recommendation and get myself a good pre-natal massage!

I am so hot right now too (temperature-wise), last pregnancy I was running about as hot as my husband (usually I run pretty cool) and same with this one until this past week, now I'm even warmer than him. I'm about ready to start wearing shorts to work smile.gif
