Third trimester symptoms - Page 5

I've oddly not been having issues with heartburn this time yet.  I do get indigestion which is somewhat helped by papaya enzyme.  The indigestion has been throughout the pregnancy though, sort of like morning sickness never quite left completely(except I'm eating just fine.).

I am starting to feel like my rib cage is being pushed out and expanding which is pretty uncomfortable at times.  It's a little odd because I don't feel baby up high but I am starting to feel uncomfortable in the upper part of my body as though things are running out of room.  Is anyone else feeling a like they are running out of room inside their torso.

(All this talk of oil pulling makes me want to try it again but I just can't figure out how to make my kids understand that I can't talk for 20 minutes each morning.  Ha!)

My rib cage has been feeling like that off and on the last week or so too and I have been having heartburn after supper too. I don't think baby is up high for me either but def running out of room.

Yes Co, I am having that feeling already too.  Sometimes when I sit especially, I notice feeling like my rib cage is getting pushed up.

Granted, I think I'm carrying much higher and more out in front than with DS (you can't tell I'm pregnant from behind, at least not yet) who I carried more "across".  Thankfully I haven't had any heartburn yet (and I never did with DS) but I have had indigestion a few times.  I did a shot of ACV last night when I started to feel ugh and it helped.  I thought about the water mixed with ACV as someone else had suggested, but I prefer to do a shot I think because then I don't taste it as long.  Just do the shot and chase it with some water or something.

Co, just tell the kids you're playing the quiet game and you're really good at it.  Challenge them to beat you as a bonus :)

My entire pelvis feels all loosey goosey and not in a good way today.  I'm randomly having trouble crossing my legs, and while I think I may have put a little weight on in my thighs it's not enough for larger pants so that's kinda weird.

I also find myself running out of breath easier and I get rib pain on my left side when sitting at work.  I don't know why just my left side, maybe I tilt?

Other than that the ravenous feeling seems to have diminished some although I do still have my moments.

I have a couple varicose veins in my right leg (Got them with DD's pregnancy) and they started hurting a bit this weekend, ow! Trying to keep that leg elevated some today. Also getting the "fun" cervix kicks, though luckily my girl keeps moving around so she isn't always positioned to kick the cervix. My boy is not nearly as hard of a kicker, except with the doppler/ultrasound, then he is always kicking the probe smile.gif

Katie, Have you tried compression socks?  I don't have vericose veins but I do have spider veins and my legs tire (and get painful) easily.  When I was in cosmetology school they really helped.

My stomach has been more upset the last several days (it never completely went away after morning sickness this time but I can eat normally and don't puke) which is annoying.  I had heard of women feeling nauseated again at the end but had never experienced it before.  I need to get some nuts packed in my purse because it's certainly worse when I am hungry.

Other than that I am grumpy as all get out lately.  Just over being pregnant and uncomfortable but since there are 3 months left I need to just get my attitude in gear!

I have some travel socks that do help, they are sort of cheapo compression socks, I should bust them out.

I swear all I am doing lately is eating/drinking & peeing and the latter is only going to get worse! So far my big torso is leaving good room for my stomach, so it's squished some, but I'm hungry about every 1-2 hours. Otherwise I've been doing pretty good though, tiring more easily, but still can do almost as much as non-pregnant.

Found out that stabbing feeling in my butt is sciatic pain caused by a tight pfirorus (sp?) muscle on my hip.  Thankfully my lovely insurance plan will pay for as many chiro visits with massages as I can schedule so I'm going on a weekly/biweekly basis.  My last one lasted exactly a day and then I decided to organize under the kitchen sink and now it's back.  I guess I want to nest but my ass doesn't want me to.

Now that we are well into the third trimester (32 weeks this Sunday), I feel like my symptoms have changed quite a bit from 27/28 weeks!

Last night, wretched heartburn (from overeating, I'm sure).  I did a shot of apple cider vinegar, and it was nasty as all get out, but it worked.  But then I couldn't sleep until four anyway.

Also constipation is back.

Exhaustion is starting to kick in.  I feel like I'm back to early first trimester!  I wake up tired.

Having lots of BH, and just tight belly in general.  Real estate getting limited.

Swelling a bit.  All shoes still fit, but I have to prop my feet up some while I'm sitting at my desk.  I can really notice if I have too much salt, processed food, or don't drink enough water or pregnancy tea.

Fingers are very stiff in the morning.  And a bit of carpal tunnel tingling, too.  I had to take off one wedding ring (that had a thick band), and am down to a thinner band one.

Having that feeling of " the beginning of May is a long, long, long way away . . . "  I've hesitated doing the "how many days are left?" calculator because it will just depress me!

I'm starting to notice some differences too!  I will be 32 weeks on Wednesday (holy crap, that's scary!!)

Also constipation is back.

Exhaustion is starting to kick in.  I feel like I'm back to early first trimester!  I wake up tired.  I've been pretty tired too, but I think it's from frequent night waking and several nights of poor sleep in a row.

Having lots of BH, and just tight belly in general.  Real estate getting limited. Yes, BHs here too.  Some I would almost call painful, but most at least uncomfortable.  This morning I was laying in bed and had what felt like a charlie horse on my right side, under my belly (inside my hip bone).  What the heck was that??

Swelling a bit.  All shoes still fit, but I have to prop my feet up some while I'm sitting at my desk.  I can really notice if I have too much salt, processed food, or don't drink enough water or pregnancy tea.  knock on wood, so far not too bad.  This was a major issue for me last time, hoping it won't happen again this time!  By the time DS was born all I could wear were flip flops!!

So, it sounds like we are pretty similar.  I would add that I am starting to have pain in my pubic symphasis.  Last week, it was just when I tried to stand up after sitting or kneeling on the floor.  I would have to use something to push myself up or it really hurt.  Today, I've noticed it even hurts some when just walking.  And then, I had to boot it to a meeting I was late for (not even far, on the same floor!) and I found walking fast to be pretty challenging, and I'm pretty sure I was waddling to do it! Yikes!  Preggo waddle just around the corner???

Getting more insomnia and waking up more frequently (not to pee except once usually).

Appetite has been much more limited.

Very horny as I have been throughout except in the really fatigued parts, but it was more in the 3rd trimester last time and this time too innocent.gif

BH are still about the same, 1 or maybe 2 a day at most, some days none.

More tired and I feel big and ungainly most of the time.

I am feeling less cramping since babe flipped vertex. Thank goodness! She is SO active. She likes to stretch her legs out and I can actually grab what I am guessing are her knees. In utero, my boys would move away from pressure...she moves into it! At night when she wriggles on the side I am laying on, it feels like I am laying on a wriggling snake or something (terrible visual, I know).

Does anyone else feel bruised on the inside from the kicking? I have this weird zinger/bruised feeling spot on the upper left side of my uterus (my midwife says there is a ligament attached there) that is really uncomfortable when I push on it. It also happens to be this girl's favorite spot to kick.

I didn't think any of my 1st tri symptoms were coming back until literally just now when I had to spit out the scrambled eggs I made myself! So annoying! I was like, FORCING them down and then on one bite, BLECH I had to spit it out. I'm not pleased about that because my first trimester I was all carbs all the time and I really don't want to go back to that (though it was delicious :P). I am hoping this egg thing was just a bump in the road and won't repeat itself.

My 3rd trimester has presented itself with huge puffy feet. I sort of expected it as I am so genetically similar to my mom and she had the same thing. I have really wide paddle-like feet as it is (sexy, right?) and it's just on a whole new level with the swelling. Essentially if I don't keep my feet up at all times they'll swell up. And it hurts! By the end of the day I *have* to sit and put them up. I also have them propped up on 2-3 pillows in bed.

When I initially get in bed, have all my pillows in place, I am SO comfortable, but I must be getting uncomfy in the middle of the night because I keep winding up on my back. And then it's uncomfortable for me to get back on my side, but I try to force myself because I know I'm not supposed to be on my back. I think my pelvic groin pain is potentially what gets painful after being in my side for a while and makes me go on my back. Does anyone else find themselves waking up on their back?

I also wake up on my back occasionally, and then can't go back to sleep until I feel baby move.  I don't think I am on my back for very long, as this position usually causes some pain in my lower back.  I don't think it's anything to worry about... I believe that if your baby was in distress when you are on your back you would instinctively wake up.

Re your puffy feet - are you taking in too much salt?  Usually your feet will go down if you watch your intake for a day.

I also threw up this week, for the first time in a while.  Just before going to the midwife appt.  Also hoping that was a one off as my appetite is not monstrous and I want to make sure I'm putting weight on steadily from here on in.  Midwife visit showed that I've put on less than 0.5 kg in the last month which I don't think sounds right but I'm making it my mission to eat whatever I can whenever I can.  I'm petite but pregnancy has definitely filled me out and I have a good sized bump, which I can't stop looking at Sheepish.gif  Belly watching is my new favourite pastime for sure!

My main complaint at the moment is a shooting pain in my sacrum when I stand up from sitting.  It feels like I'm pulling a muscle just below my coccyx each time I rise.  Very painful.  Massage, yoga and pelvic rotations seem to be helping it a little.  I'm considering acupuncture if it doesn't ease up soon.  Anyone here had success with acupuncture for back pain?

Another thing that has been bothering me is allergies... I seem to have developed an extreme sensitivity to dust, so much so that I've had to swap offices with someone at work.  Thankfully this has really paid off as I am no longer sitting under the air conditioning unit, which I suspect hasn't been serviced/cleaned/changed filter in years and was causing my reaction.

Aside from this I'm feeling good and comfortable and still have a decent amount of energy.  Hope all you mamas are having a nice evening!

I'M IN MY THIRD TRIMESTER!!!! YAHOO!!! I'm going to join all you cool kids over here!

I've dealt with a little 'heartburn' here and there from my intestines being squished. I have to eat smaller meals now and am much more conscious of how much/what I'm eating because of how it'll make me feel. I'm also not as hungry as usual  ... which is weird, for me.

Sleeping is harder. Especially if I go to bed too early, like eight or something, then wake up at two and can't sleep. But overall it's not bad. It just takes me a while to get comfy.

Other than that, I'm just noticed I'm super tired at like 6 ..... I'm not dealing with too many symptoms right now. I'm sure it'll come.

Yeah, loogie, I wake up on my back a lot. I'm trying not to stress about it. Forgot to also mention the lovely snoring and increased congestion that have come in the last week or so. I wake myself up now sawing logs!
Oh the snoring, poor DH! I actually tried a breathe right strip last night, not sure if it helped yet as DH is still in bed.
