Pumping at work

Can anyone recommend a good bra that will let me pump hands free? I have a double electric pump and time intensive job. (I'm salary.) I could use the extra hour of work time.

I'm not sure about the bra, but with a good pump you might still have your dominant hand free while the other hand supports the cups. I was able to still control the mouse and at least check email and do some reviewing at work, but never figured out how to get both hands free.

There are hands-free bras out there (my SIL recommends this one), but they don't work for everyone, it really depends how well your breasts stay in the flanges, some cut holes in a normal bra and others use rubberband/hairties to hold the flanges to the breasts by looping over the flanges and then over the nursing bra clips. I could always pump one-handed by putting my left arm across the left bottle and holding the right bottle and I could sometimes pump hands-free by carefully leaning the bottles against the edge of my desk, but I would often lose suction on my right breast after a few minutes if I wasn't paying close enough attention.

I might try holes in a bra, hair ties or get one hands-free bra and see how it works for you, but it may not, but you should still be able to get one hand free.

I used the pump ease classic for 11 months and liked it. Whatever one you get make sure to check the sizing - I got a medium according to the chart but my breasts were like an e at least so I would have probably ordered a larger size if I hadn't checked.

I used the Playtex nursing bras and an Ameda electric pump.

I leave my bra on and then use the "easy expressions" version. You really, really want one of these. And sadly, I am returning to work with third kid soon and it is still going strong.

I also use the Simple Wishes bra (which someone linked above). I love it and it works well with my Medela Pump as well as with my Hygeia. I couldn't imagine sitting and holding it the whole time, and I also pump at least 2x a day at work, and this way I can do email, or be on my phone or do something else.

Try cutting small holes (because you can always cut a little bigger but not smaller) in an old athletic bra. But if you'll be at work and want something nicer, Simple Wishes is good. All the best!

I pump hands free but don't use a bra.  It's probably relevant that I'm rather small chested.  I just wear a tank top with a non-loose shirt on top, then I use those two garments to hold the pump in place - I pull the tank top down below my breast and the shirt up over it, place the pump, then pull the tank top up over the bottom of the pump and the shirt down over the top of the pump.  But, I usually only pump on one side at a time while working on the computer.  Just another idea.

I use a medela bustier. It works perfectly for me with no issues. I pump 3x daily and it is a savior. I tried holding when I forgot it one day and it was ridiculous.

I use a pumpease (http://www.snugabell.com/).  Love. It.  I have larger breasts (H cups while nursing) and I'm able to pump hands-free in my office and continue working with no problem.  They sell them on Amazon.  I didn't buy this until my son was born, and I'm kicking myself over the time I wasted doing one side at a time and holding the cu cone when I pumped when my daughter was little.
