Flatulence & other TMI fun times

Here's a fun thread for sharing all the gory details of the bodily changes we're all having to deal with. I thought it might be nice to get it all off our chests in a place we know we won't get made fun of smile.gif. I'll start:

-killer farts that even I cant stand to be around, I feel like a walking plague lol.gif
-my face looks like a teenager's, no matter how clean I keep it
-my maternity pajamas, which are one size bigger than I normally wear, are almost too tight around my thighs, sigh
-if I dont have sex or masturbate on a very regular basis, my ridiculously high sex drive makes me have sex dreams (usually they dont involve DH which makes me feel guilty, blah)
-i feel self-conscious about my chubby cheeks which seem to get chubbier every time i look in the mirror

Thats about it for me, please share your gory details, otherwise I will feel really embarrassed lol.

LOL

It doesn't matter how hard I strain or don't strain, I have obvious hemorrhoids. They don't hurt (at the moment) but they are quite disconcerting.

My old double-chin seems to be making an appearance, and it bothers me, from time to time. I have to keep reminding myself that I am in a much better place, in how I deal with my health, than I was with my last pregnancy, and I STARTED between 80-90 pounds lighter than last time. And the best part is that I KNOW I can lose it all again, because I did it once.

LOL! I have had hemorrhoids since my last birth, but it was just one that was not at all troublesome. Elsewhere on MDC, I read about www.squattypotty.com. And I ordered it. OMG! We all love it. I don't want to give too many details, but it has changed our lives! I actually think it will help me get practiced squatting for birth!

I seem to be unable to move from sitting to standing or rolling over in bed without lots of Steffi Graf-style grunting. Why do I do it? Why does it help? LOL. The kids are very amused by it. And speaking of kids... There are too many in our bed! I just have no plan for when the baby gets here... Yikes!

I am astonished at all my weird and constant eating, too.

I have other things, too, but realized after typing them, I am just too shy to share! Just know that I am there with you in the gross zone, LOL!

Well I hear y'all on the hemorrhoids and sex dreams (except that's kind of an issue and the dreams I have are... more than disturbing).  But I'm losing weight.  Diet for GD combined with teeny tiny stomach leads to weight loss of about a lb per week.  Fortunately my midwife is okay with it (as am I) but it's still a little disconcerting.  Especially when people I haven't seen for a while look at me and sort of frown and say "oh. Wow.  You're not carrying that anywhere ELSE are you?"  It's not like I'm some sort of stick figure... but when you're short and NOT plump any more, the belly really does stick out alarmingly.

I'll add another thing I could do without - occasionally it's really hard to get my hand in place to wipe after I pee.  I dunno what happens there, it's like it just doesn't FIT around the tum or something and if I try to hard, I get wicked nasty muscle cramps and have to sit breathing deeply on the toilet for a few minutes until they pass.  It's hard to explain that to the rest of my family, and SUPER embarrassing when it happens in a public loo.  But it's not all the time.  I never know when it's going to happen.

I also have a crazy sex drive right now (which my DP seems to be enjoying.) The problem is that, afterward I'm SO swollen down there that I have to go sit in a hot bath for a few minutes or I will be super uncomfortable. I also have a couple hemorrhoids. And I pee a little almost every time I sneeze. And I develop body odor super quickly. If I shower in the morning, I'm already starting to stink my late afternoon. What the hell is that about?!

Samipolizzi: I also get body odor really easily. I sniff my armpits a lot to see if I need a shower since it doesnt take much to make me stinky. I used to get swollen after sex, it was really uncomfortable. Maybe try different positions to see if one doesnt cause as much swelling?

Spughy: it sounds like straining to wipe is making round ligament pain flare up. It was hard for me to wipe, too, near the end of my pregnancy with DD. I figured out that standing up and reaching around to the back helped a lot. It was still sort of awkward but it was manageable.

Thanks everyone for sharing! It makes me feel less awkward smile.gif

-oily hair. I now have to wash my hair everyday instead of every 2-3

-I fart in front of my husband. He thinks it's cute since I NEVER would pass gas in front of him. But since I have trouble having bowl movements I figure I need to let any movement down there free.

-Speaking of pooping, I get really excited when I have the urge to go and can. I almost feel like a toddler since I say "I pooped!" and my husband get excited for me and gives a hurray.

-spuphy wiping is way more challenging sometime I just hop in the shower afterwards so I don't have to wipe. haha

-sexiness is a great feeling. DH likes it too, except in certain positions he has a hard time because he feels like he might hurt the baby.

Peeing myself a little with almost every cough and sneeze!
A couple of days ago, while out walking with DS and the dog, I took a hasty nature pee but thought I'd finished before I had and really wet my underwear and leggings. It was really cold out with patches of snow and icy puddles but I just had to suffer it and waddle uncomfortably for the next 15 mins until we got back to the car.
It's so hard to find time to do my pelvic floor exercises but that experience upped my motivation quite a bit.

Ha! This thread is so funny.

Just the other day, DH was saying he never realized how many side effects there are with pregnancy :)

-Sex drive is on 10. DH has an aversion to sex with preggo me. The whole "I'm going to hurt the baby thing". So it's me myself and I most days. blush.gif

-I'm so hungry all the dang time, it's hard to keep up. We just came back from dinner at Yard House and now DH is making me a fruit salad, because I'm starving again eat.gif

-Hungry and Horny should be my nickname.

-I have trouble wiping too, especially in the small stalls at work. I can't get my legs wide enough to get a good reach going  redface.gif

-I stink often. Seriously, it had died down by now with DD, but this time around, I'm super stinky. I rarely wear deodorant when not pregnant and if I do, it's the crystal or a swipe of lemon juice.

None of that works or it irritates me during pregnancy.

SlimP: that was my main infliction last time--peeing every time I coughed or sneezed. Soooo annoying and embarrassing. I've gotten lucky so far this pregnancy ::knocks on wood::

Cocoanib: Hungry and Horny could definitely be my nickname, too! lol.gif Man, that must be really difficult with a DH thinking he's going to hurt the baby. Some men just wont listen to reason. My DH takes medication that has the side effect of lowering his sex drive, so more times than I'd like I'm all by myself, sigh.

I had acupuncture done for my back this morning, which has been out for weeks. I went to someone my MW recommended and it is feeling somewhat better.

The needles got something flowing because there was an air of stink in that room shortly after she left and I am talking about the first topic of this thread. That gas cloud was horrible.

The poor lady comes in to check on me and immediately began to back out of the room. "Just seeing how you're doing..."

I said fine and she shut that door faster than she opened it and took a long time before the next check.

Oh no LOL!!! You made me crack up, that is just too funny. I can only imagine the look of horror on her face when she entered bwhahahahaha!!! You couldnt help it and it sounds like it was merciful for your insides. Not so merciful for the nose but, hey, you win some and you lose some.

That's pretty funny, Melany.

It's funny, because it's been happening almost every night, but I just realized that I have been drooling in my sleep like there's no tomorrow, for a couple of weeks now. My body pillow is sodden when I wake up to go to the bathroom. XD
