change in period. please help

Hi guys,

So my periods are always irregular and it is hard for me to know when I am ovulating but recently i found out that the pain I experience every month in my ovaries means i am ovulating. Ok so since i started my periods, i have only missed once during the early stages but never again since that time. However, later last year, specifically sept, I missed my periods then they came on oct really heavy n painful i almost felt like i would die. On Nov, again, they dnt come but they later came normal on dec the 2nd. January, they came he same date, 2nd. (never happened before)my qn is, Can periods change from irregular to regular. I have never been on birth control ever. I went to the hospital when it was heavy and was given some pain killers and since then i never went back. I trying to have a baby this month so if my periods are normal, i should do my test on that day. Has anyone ever experienced this?

hmm... did you get evaluated for an ovarian cyst? or Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome as that can also cause pain and irregular periods.

I have experienced something similar and it was ovarian cycts which I think was caused by birth control but cysts can be and often are a normal part of the cycle I just never had any that I know of that caused pain before. Now I'm off the BC which is apparentally notorious for causing cysts my cycles are normal like clockwork and I have no excruciating pain. Also had really really bad temporary bloating accompanying the pain. If that helps?

=) You should get a second opinion though because pain relief doesn't fix the underlying problem.
