How many weeks are you now?

If I go by my LMP i'd be 41 weeks today. Ultrasound estimation date I am 39 weeks today.

Having new symptoms or annoyances?

No new symptoms at all. I did compare my picture today with last weeks picture and it does look like she has dropped a little, HOPE!!! 

I did have more back pressure last night, drank 2 cups of RRL tea and walked my stairs and sat on my ball while I read on the computer. Nothing. 

What's making you smile this week?

That I am totally ready, with exception of a few packages that will be here in the next week or two, I don't NEED them

just things that will be 'nice to have'. That I am getting rid of all the hand me down diapers and inserts finally out of my DD's closet.

Are you getting some early labour signs?

Two nights of moderate back pressure that didn't turn into anything.

How ready do you feel for your birth on a scale of 1-10?

I feel mentally and physically completely ready :)

Having new symptoms or annoyances?

Super sore muscles in my groin and inner thighs.  I'm pretty sure it's from trying to walk while having contractions.  Anyone else with frequent BH having this?  It's gone from annoying to really painful this week.  I'm a little worried about it being an issue during labor :/

Going off pelvic rest! ;)

Are you getting some early labour signs?

I've had a resurgence of morning sickness lately - on and off for the past three weeks, but worse the past few days.  Occasional loose stools.  Along with the increase in BH (that last 2-4 minutes or more!), I've also been having occasional productive feeling contractions.  Last night I woke up about an hour after going to bed with a really intense, somewhat painful contraction that lasted at LEAST 8-10 minutes.  It might have been 15. It really freaked me out, and I couldn't get back to sleep for over an hour, waiting for another one.  I had a couple more mild contractions, but nothing significant.  But I still had trouble sleeping for the rest of the night and have just felt terrible today - tired, nauseous and cranky.  Grrr.

How ready do you feel for your birth on a scale of 1-10?

I WAS feeling really ready and even looking forward to the process of labor itself, until that crazy long contraction last night.  It made me a little worried that labor will be like that with crazy long contractions and no breaks.  But I put the question to the twins facebook group, and people are saying they had normal labors even after having extra long BH.

Ideally I'd like these babes to cook a few days more - I'd like to reach 37 weeks, but I wouldn't mind a bit if they came RIGHT NOW.  COME ON BABIES!

39 weeks today.

No new symptoms and things in the contrax department have slowed a lot. Maybe because I've been resting a lot the last several days (healing from the yeast infection and trying to not get the tiny cold ds2 had). New annoyances... Some cracks in the skin of the perineum from the YI I assume. Working on getting that healed up. Some pretty intense pain from little feet stretching out into my side. Yowza. Seriously have to sit down and s/he doesn't let up for quite a while.

Making me smile.... Knowing that these painful little feet will be outside soon and collecting tiny amounts of sock lint and being adorable.

Labor signs... Nope. Had those hours-long sessions of contrax 2 weeks ago and then nothing regular since.

Ready for birth... Sometimes 9 sometimes 6. In the morning, getting out of bed and always in some amount of pain somewhere in my body... I'm over it and want baby to just get out. Other times I'm just fine waiting a while longer and not thrilled about going through labor again. Especially if the little feet are poking me during, don't know how I'll handle that.

I am having a LOT  more pelvic pressure and DH said (unprompted) that my belly looked dramatically lower today when he got home vs yesterday..  i had a chiropractor appt this morning and was on my feet almost all day after that and i'm breathing a lot easier than i was last night so i'm hoping that means baby is lower and hopefully will stay that way - i'm not liking the pressure, but i do like being able to breath more..

i got caught up  on most of my to do list today, got most of my grocery shopping done, made meatballs (3lbs, froze most of them) and 2 loaves of bread.. i'd like to make some more corn muffins and more breakfast muffins - though DH has been picking on me saying that we have enough muffins (blueberry, chocolate, chocolate chip, apple, & corn)  in the freezer to eat nothing but muffins for 2 weeks .. he is wrong, and the problem is i want chocolate chocolate muffins and we're almost out of those ..lol but yeah, we won't starve.. 

baby - if you are listening, anytime this weekend, starting friday afternoon would be ideal.. if you make it to tuesday just stay in, DD1 has a (possibly once in a life time) cave tour scheduled for tuesday afternoon i don't want her to miss it cause i'm giving birth..  after tuesday any time is fine..

Where are the babies?  I am shocked that it is the 29th and we are still not having daily reports of babies.....

Anyone else find themselves getting into a weird state of mind where you have to convince yourself that you're ACTUALLY pregnant and that no matter what you'll ACTUALLY have baby sometime in the next few weeks? Right now, with no prelabor signs, I just feel like I've almost convinced myself that big and not-so-mobile is my permanent state of being. Labor just seems like some kind of alternate reality at the moment. 

BUT I'm grateful I'm still comfortable-ish. :)

  YES.  I told my husband last night i can just get some more leggings and wear them under everything and keep going w/ life like this forever since i'm pretty sure this is my new normal.  i've gotten used to rolling off the couch and bed, i can just keep wearing huge clothes, at this point, labor and birth seem both impossible and unattainable.  

i hit this point around 39-40 weeks and pretty much stay in it until labor does start.  which was a blessing for the labor at 42 weeks.  i was so fried and had given up at that point, so it was just a waiting game for everyone else.  i was just going to be slightly uncomfortable forever!!!

and i'm more comfortable than i was a week and a half ago- the crazy hormones have shifted, and the pubic pain is mostly gone.  so here we go.

Contractions 9 mins, then 8 mins apart last night from 2:30am-4:00am. Not even exciting anymore, I just tried to ignore it at this point. Made myself a sandwich, had some water, went back to bed and when I woke up nothing else. Even with sporadic contractions I just feel like it's not ever going to be real labor and I am just giant, swollen, with random cramps and pains, and unable to bend over, and that's how it's gonna be.

ugh. I thought i totally wore myself out yesterday - then i had trouble falling asleep and woke up every 1-2 hours ready to go for the day ..  at least i was able to force myself to sleep so i know i won't be overtired today.. 
 

i too feel like i'm going to be pregnant forever ..  i am interested to see if my midwife agrees that my baby is much lower now because i am sure breathing better than i was 2 days ago.. i was pretty sure he was going to pop back up overnight but he doesn't seem to have..

I'm also wondering where all the babies are..  maybe our babies are holding out for february and will all be born on the same day/days lol   either way there have to be more babies soon!

Hopefully it means we will all have super healthy, well-cooked babies who nurse well and sleep well and just can't get enough of their mamas.

i think our babies just need to cook more! 

had my 38 week dr appointment this morning and when nurse asked me what we were having, baby kicked me real good in the ribs and i said exasperated "a BIG LUMP of girl." winning mama moment. 

dr. thinks she'll come before our next appointment on tuesday. that would be awesome. i can't wait to have this baby in my arms. of course i'm counting on her staying in there forever, same as you other mamas. it's just a bit unreal.

Having new symptoms or annoyances?

This lightening crotch stuff is getting pretty intense- I am worried about having these shooting pains during labor.  Other than that normal stuff: back and pelvic pain, swollen legs, cannot bend over or squat without a huge amount of effort.  And I am also going back and forth between several BMs/day and being constipated, ugh. 

What's making you smile this week?

.We had a beautiful sunset last night that made me smile.  DH did my belly cast last night too and that was a special bodning time for us. 

Are you getting some early labour signs?

I keep losing chunks of mucus with some blood streaks but nothing too profound.  I had a run of contractions after dtd last week that got pretty intense.  I am scared to do it again...

How ready do you feel for your birth on a scale of 1-10?

It varies throughout the day between 7-9.  I got a big exam done yesterday and my belly cast so that helped my readiness level, I still haven't been able to get nice belly pics though.  Part of me would like to have this baby before my birthday but I think he/she may wait until next weekend. 

I am also waiting for all our babies, it's got to be soon!!

Had a perfect midwife appt today! Yay (nothing off about my pee, BP normal, etc) she thinks my baby is "not big" - like my babies usually are 7ish lbs and that my belly is big (3cm gain since last wk, now 38cm) because I've got some extra fluid, "not quite too much but a lot"

The "nerve pain" that I've been experiencing is now in three different parts of my belly, rather than just the one like it was before, which is zero fun. Though I'll have to admit that it's entertaining to see the worried faces of strangers walking by when I had to lean over on a bench this morning alone on my walk to work - I'm pretty sure they though I was in labour.

What's making you smile this week?

I'm officially on maternity leave as of about 1 hour ago!! It's strange to think that I don't have a job now and won't for the next year. I keep saying it out loud to remind myself but I've either had a job or been in school since I was 5 so this is all very hard to comprehend. I also get to find out if I'm dilated at all on my appointment on Friday for the first time, which I'm surprisingly excited for

Are you getting some early labour signs?

Nothing and it's awfully lame. It had some around 36 weeks and took it really easy but I'm afraid I may have lost my window and I'm now in for the long-haul :(

How ready do you feel for your birth on a scale of 1-10?

I'd prefer to have the next day or two to relax and get the house in order, but I'm a good 9/10 overall. Since it's my first, I don't think I would ever say that I'm 100% ready

maternity leave-enjoy it! you will feel restless but then you'll have a baby here sooner than later and will love the time you have with her. 

i miss working, but am glad that i put my business on hold for myself/baby/family.
