Who still doesn't have a name? « Back to Group Discussions

So we still don't have a name for our little boy. I'm not super worried about it yet, but I would really like to have a short list that we really like and right now our list is literally titled "names we don't hate" lol. I have no idea what we're going to call this little guy!

We also don't have a name yet...we have managed to choose ONE of her middle names...she still needs a first name and a virtue name. :-)

We have a first name. We also are picking 2 middle names (tradition in DH's and now our family). I thought it would be cool if DD had the same initials as DH since their first names will start with the same letter. Initials are J.Z.S. So far we have the J and I think we have the S but we're having a REALLY hard time finding a girl's name we like that starts with Z!

Any ideas?

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Our girls have first and middle American/English names and first and middle Japanese names. (It seemed like such a good idea when we were pregnant with our oldest 13 years ago... at age 17 ) We have a good idea what our "first Japanese" name is going to be - which will be the name my FIL will use often. We'll be naming him a variation of  DH's grandpa and dads names which is traditional. But *NO* idea what the other *THREE* names are going to be! It's a good thing we've still got two months!

Zinnia is one of my favorites...Zenobia, Zenia, Zara.

Our family rule is that nobody can share first initials, and that includes our grandbaby and we are leaving out "Z" as well, since two of our older girls are partnered with young men whose names begin with that letter.

So we CANNOT use A, B, C, E, I, L, M, P, W or Z.

No name decided on here either. Having the kids weigh in with their opinions makes it a bit more difficult but DH & I haven't found a name that we both like equally. I'm anxious to settle on a name but not worried yet.

You are not alone!  Totally at a loss here.  And 100% feeling like we still won't have a good list in 9.5w (which is when I hit 40!)

We don't have a name picked out, either. Our list is also "names we don't hate" but we haven't found any we love, yet. I borrowed yet another name book from the library yesterday, so we'll see if this is the lucky one :-)

We have our name down (Calliope Meadow), but I keep going back and forth if I -really- like Meadow. Part of the reason we're using it is all 3 of us ladies of the house will have M middle names(Michelle, Mackenzie, Meadow), but I really love the names Lauren, Jane, and Irelynn.. I think more-so than I love Meadow, lol.

We have no idea.  DD has a Korean middle name and following tradition, this baby would have a Korean middle name containing the same generational syllable, but I'm not even 100% sure we are going to do that.  At one point I was going to change her middle name to something that fit more with the rest of her name but the time for that has come and gone, I think.  I'm not even sure if I am going to give this baby my last name because I regret giving DD my last name.  We didn't name DD until she was 3 ds old, so we've got plenty of time.  :)  LOL.  I do like Artemisia and Amaranth, but DP hasn't really expressed any preferences.

I vote Zuzu (from "It's a Wonderful Life", lol...not sure how the name is actually spelled, but always thought it was cute!).

I have a girl name picked, but I'm not sure about a boy name! Enoch Ransom is at the top of my list, followed by Jedidiah Aaron. I'm not a huuuge fan of the name Aaron, but it's my BIL's name and the meaning is awesome ("mountain of strength")...also, Jedidiah Aaron would give him the same initials as my father, so that's cool too! Zechariah is another good name to consider, but I don't think the meaning really fits for this baby.

ANYway...I really think it's a girl, so I'm not too worried, lol. :P

We have a girl name, kind of, but it's more like one we don't hate, I think. If it's a boy, well, he might be stuck as The Baby Formerly Known As. We have *no* idea for a boy, at all.

We don't, necessarily.  We have some ideas, but we prefer to wait until baby is here and we can see him/her before we pick a name. :)

We only have a middle name for a girl and no names if this little one is a boy.  But my due date isn't until the end of April so we still have time?  I have a bunch of name books on hold at the library that I am picking up next week.  Maybe we will have a better idea in a few weeks.  I feel like such a slacker picking names this time around!
