Subchorionic Hematoma...anyone?

Anyone ever have a subchorionic hematoma? I had my first appointment with my doctor yesterday and she said I have one. At the ultrasound I had a couple weeks ago, they said there was a small pocket of blood but it was no big deal. My body would either absorb it or I would have a slight bit of spotting. Three weeks later when I see the doc, she says to avoid sex and not lift anything over 25 lbs (which would be my kids)! I am wondering why they didn't give me these restrictions before if they were called for, so now I don't know if it's really no big deal or if I should worry :(

Weird! Have you had any spotting or bleeding? I have had 2 SCHs in past pregnancies, and the only time I was given restrictions was when I was actively bleeding/spotting.

I had one this time that had resolved at 9 weeks. They told me no heavy lifting, but I have to lift my 2 year old and continued doing so! But, I was seeing an RE that does a lot of iui/ivf, and they say that to everyone. They were not at all concerned and said that most resolve by 12 weeks.

I haven't had any spotting at all...besides giving restrictions at my appointment, they said they just wanted to monitor it and to do another ultrasound in a month. I guess that should show me there's nothing to be concerned about since they didn't make a special appointment...I just wondered. Glad to hear you ladies had the same thing before and it resolved on its own.

I had one which in my first very early u/s had them questioning if I had twins. (I have very irregular cycles so had no idea how far along I was and had to have U/S but it was so early no babies could be seen, only two "sacks")  anyway at the follow up U/S the hematoma was absorbed and gone from view on the u/s and there were only 3 weeks between them. I had no complications nor would I have even known I had it had I not had the ultrasound.
