Hello everyone. My name is Meg. I have a 22 month daughter. We are planning to start homeschooling next year when she turns three, if she's ready. Does anyone have any curr ideas or groups we can learn from? My daughter is very spirited and I want to nurture that within her, without going crazy in the process smile.gif thanks for reading!

Hi Meg,

Good for you! Good timing too. At two and a half children are open to learning crucial basics that help them to read and write later in their education. There is a great website with free webinars, blogs and resources for educating your children. The most helpful thing I found was the book from the founder Mary Ellen Maunz. It is called Nurturing Your Child's Inner Life. Really goes over the sensitive periods to learning, when your child will tell you through her actions what she is ready to learn next. Good luck!

Hi Echosmom, and welcome! I have an eight year old who's been homeschooling since early on in first grade. I love it. Come on over to the Learning at Home and Unschooling forums. It's friendly.
