This is exactly what they told me- said it only took a few hours for the lab to get them the results. They never called me, so I called the next morning and they said I passed.

Ok, done drinking, blech Hang out here for a bit and then off for my test and appointment.

Drinking all that sugar also woke up the babies!

Okay, still no phone call, so I'm hoping that means I'm good!  I'd really like to avoid having to drink all that nasty red dye again.

That should mean you're good to go!

Sorry to hear yours was dyed - mine was just a clear solution.

I passed as well!  Who thought it was a good idea to take 3 vials of blood (extra tests at the same time) from a pregnant woman who hasn't eaten anything and just drank a whole bunch of sugar?  I felt pretty icky until I was able to have some greek yogurt at work.

I celebrated with a foot long grilled cheese sandwich, homemade potato chips with parmesan cheese, and a tiramisu gelato shake .

OMG!! YUM!!

I didn't even attempt to follow the guidelines of their test. I ate my normal breakfast and then scarfed some drive through breakfast probably no more than 20 minutes before the test. I had also brought along my water bottle and was drinking that in the waiting area. The lab tech came to give me the liquid to drink and said, 'So you haven't had anything to eat or drink in the last 8-10 hours right?'

Oops.

Then DD had her 2 year check up in between my drinking the glucose and having the blood taken. Well there was a wait and her appt went long and I didn't make it back to the lab to get my blood drawn until close to 2 hours after drinking the glucose....

Anyway, the doctor called and said I passed. It was a 97 and under 140 is good. LOL.

Man, the test just seems like such a crap shoot!  

Bailey, you were told NOT to eat, I was told specifically to be sure to eat a big, protien rich breakfast, people are given different amounts of the glucola to drink, some people have to down the drink, others get 10 mins...

So inconsistent, I was told to eat and drink normally until I drank the drink, then nothing until the blood draw. I haven't heard anything yet either, so I must have passed, wu!

Just had my work "wellness screen". Fasting blood sugar, no glucola or anything, was 83, so feeling better about being given less glucola for my gd test. Finally Think its true that I actually don't have gd. Yay!

Interesting to see everyone's numbers.  Mine after drinking the two juice boxes and waiting an hour was 87.  I've always suspected I tended to err toward low blood sugar but couldn't find anything about if 87 was low or not when I googled, just that under 140 was passing.

And the food really was amazing.  

Figures I didn't order girl scout cookies just in case I didn't pass.  I nearly mugged three little kids carrying in boxes of cookies to deliver at work.
