prostaglandins don't seem to do anything to my body, nor do O's. which is great for most of pregnancy, but annoying at the end when i want to believe something might have an effect.
i've only lost my mucus plug/had bloody show only once in all 4 deliveries. but the prelabor is common in all but my first. full crazy day yesterday- but baby had hand up in face leading to sharp pains in cervix and shooting nerve pain in the legs after a few hours of strong and consistent BH. midwife suggested inversion to reposition the hand farther up. it worked great- then had some REAL and intense ctx for a couple of hours, about 15-20 min apart.
but as soon as the kids got quiet and i snuggled up to watch tv w/ husband after doing chores, it dropped down to 1 intense ctx per hour until i went to bed. then NOTHING. i slept like the dead (until the 22 month old woke up whimpering and we found her naked and covered in pee in her cold cold bed- she then did the same w/ her poopy diaper this morning, THANK GOD FOR MY HUSBAND!) and kept just wanting to sink into my bed and never move again this morning too.
i feel so heavy, tired, foggy, achy. and like this is never going to end. or begin. or whatever it is.
BUT- side note- met a mom yesterday who has an almost 2 week old i'm planning on giving milk to, and she has been struggling w/ low supply, very dramatic weight loss in her new baby, and all the crazy post-baby hormones and suddenly where I am doesn't seem to be worse! we both agreed that maybe keeping them in full-term (41 weeks for her) was a benefit for her little one and while it's hard, it's not the worst thing!!!
**i had to leave writing this post to put a band-aid on the 22 month old who somehow got the tip of her finger peeled off! she's on a roll!!!

Thanks for sharing your day it makes me feel a little bit better, lol! I have a 20 month old who gets into all sorts of trouble. And a 6&4 year old that model the behavior for her ;) Ahh motherhood. Yes perhaps a fully cooked baby is not such a bad thing to wait for, a blessing really.

that sounds like my day the other day.... within 15 minutes-- the 2 yo dumped all of the contents of my bathroom trashcan into the toilet, then the 4 yo had a poop accident and rubbed his hands all in it and all over his bottom (and told me that he had "camoflauge" on his hands..), and while I was cleaning up the 4 yo my 2 yo decided he didn't want to wear pants and was throwing a huge tantrum over it..... sometimes I really wonder why I am so anxious to get this 3rd baby out! ;)
not much more than BHicks (that are sometimes painful but I think that is more due to my weak round ligaments and the round ligament pain I've been having) going on here.. the painful ones make me think "MAYBE?!" but they always peter out.. I've never gone into labor without a little push (DS1 was medically induced after all the "natural" attempts failed and DS2 came after 2 days in a row having my membrane swept and an herbal "birth drink"), and I am DETERMINED to let this baby come ON HIS OWN. I don't know how my body naturally goes into labor. Slow and steady like my induction with DS1? Fast and furious like my labor with DS2? It is so hard to be patient, especially leading up to and going past your "due date"....
