Belly shots - Page 2

Finally remembered to get my husby to take some pics, but then he was making me laugh telling me to work it, own it, etc and things just got silly...

15 weeks!

Felt good to laugh and be silly. Even my DS started dancing and posing. The last 11 or so weeks have been NO JOKE. Not sure what the next 25 will hold, but staying optimistic...

Love it Crafty!!  My last pic is a little silly, but only because I was asking if I had an orange in my hand when he took it and then I half blinked, which looks like I'm winking.  lol  I had just taken a shower and was in my jammies.  Oh, and 14 weeks 4 days.

Do I have an orange in my hand?  DH, why yes, yes you do.  lol And then he wouldn't take anymore pics. orngtongue.gif

very rude of me, you all look great! I'm do excited to see how we change together, and how these early bellies are caught up to and even surpassed by some of you"late bloomers" wink1.gif does it have to do with our heights? I am 5'2" and feel like my organs have nowhere to go but out!

Hmm--I wonder. I knew a petite lady that was a runner and even at 8 months pregnant, she was only wearing yoga pants and not maternity. And had an 8 lb baby. I was like: geez, where did you keep it? I am 5'8" and I was ENORMOUS by the end. Like I'd look down in the shower and think: is that ALL my own body (I did have a 10 lb baby, but did not actually birth a pony as it appeared I might)?! I am not that big this time, I don't think, but I am sure I will be. I am just down in overall weight (11 lbs now from pre-preg) and I am sure that has to do with it. Or maybe I am hoarding a baby in my ribs like that other lady I knew, although I swear I am bigger at 15 weeks than she was at 40.

I'm only 5'4 and not really visibly pregnant until 6 months or so. I have a long torso.

I'd imagine that the tilt of your uterus might affect it too, right? Maybe if its more tilted forward you show sooner?

I think the torso length has a lot to do with it. I have a short torso, so near the end of my DD's pregnancy I looked like I was going to fall over. :-)

I've also had it explained to me that the stronger your core, the less likely you'll start showing soon. That was mentioned to me as I was 12 weeks, visibly pregnant in maternity pants! But I can't really refute that theory!

I'm 5'4" and though my belly looks big to me, I have to admit that at least last time I only looked pudgy unless someone knew me pretty well, and I didn't really start looking pregnant until about 6-7 months.  We'll see how long it takes this time.

Totally believe this about a strong core--explains why I get so big! LOL! I remember last time the midwife's assistant told me that my stomach muscles were so tight and I started laughing hysterically like "on what planet?" but she told me all first-time moms stomach muscles are a lot tighter than second, etc. moms just because pregnancy stretches them out so much. But I am pretty sure that's the only time in my life anyone has ever told me my stomach is tight. biglaugh.gif Oh well. I yam what I yam.

Thanks!  I have no hips so it has to go somewhere, though I have a longer torso.  I looked like this with my DD as well.  I don't think I will gain as much though.  I'm on a way different diet.  No gluten and no sugar.  I think last time I had gained 18 pounds by this point.  I think I've gained only about 8 or 9.  52lbs was way too much last time.

Okay, I've been lurking, but I finally joined.   We're right around 11 weeks with baby number 7.  Banana, I think we were in a due date club together before.  I can't remember if it was my baby 5 or 6.

You guys all look great! I'm not able to button some of my pants anymore, but I just look like I couldn't lay off the eggplant parm. wink1.gif. Someone remind me when my usually-squishy belly becomes a hard round basketball? Geeze, soon, I hope smile.gif
