Our home is in the middle of the woods and this previous winter's warmer than usual weather led to a large number of woodroaches coming into our home. We tried all kinds of natural methods and to no avail, nothing worked. I know woodroaches or palmetto bugs aren't the same as American cockroaches and don't pose the same health risks, but we had waaay too many and they weren't leaving, so after much deliberation we decided to hire an exterminator.

I requested he use a more mild pesticide, which he did, but he sprayed a lot. When we came home, there were many still wet spots along the baseboards and instead of a fine mist, it was dripped like his spray head was leaking.

This was done on December 22nd. On January the 9th, my son and myself were exposed to two sick twin boys and he also very briefly became sick, as did I. Since then, I've been sick two more times and he once. All upper respiratory issues, no fever or low grade. Nothing major, just enough for me to feel slightly crummy. This is uncommon as it's been over year since he's had a fever and he's had the sniffles twice in over a year as well. I know this is a bad time of year for colds and flu, especially in our area, but I'm concerned the pesticide could be causing an issue.

We currently supplement with fermented cod liver oil, vitamin k2, D, and occasionally zinc and C. I am thankful because our illnesses have been much shorter than the other people they affected and I think our current supplements are why.

Any suggestions on other things we can add to help kick this mess? Am I being too paranoid about the pesticide? I think I'm going to increase our D, and start doing C and zinc everyday. We also do bone broth and kefir.
