Hi ladies!

Just wanted quick let you know that this is Soleilmma, when I signed up I accidentally wrote the username wrong so I made another account.  I'll use this one from now on just to prevent any confusion.

P.S. I love, love, love the picture that was chosen to represent our DDC.  I found this picture last summer I think and it's been my favorite ever since.  It shines brightly as my desktop background as we speak.  Love it!

Glad you like it! I saw it and thought it would be a perfect pic for our DDC.

I'm not sure we can do that on Mothering. Have you seen that here? I think they can do it on babycenter though.

Hi Eloise!

I have seen tickers here dahlia, only simple ones and have been trying for the last hour to get a lilypie one on here but I don't think I can :-(

Dahlia I finally thought to search for it and it seems mdc doesn't allow links to external sources in signatures. So you have to do a "home made" go to edit your signature and enter ****5****10 etc and for the week your on you enter an emoticon of your choice and you just have to move it each week. Check out mine below :-) hope that helps.

Happy Saturday Ladies! Hope your all feeling well! I'm off to bed here well it's nearly Sunday for that matter. Two late nights in a row oops. Had a knitting emergency that totally stressed me out fx I fixed it ok. *happy dance* almost 5wks.

Feeling a little anxious to spread the news of our pregnancy in the coming weeks, I'm only 24 and this is our third child, dh and I have been married nearly 4yrs and are completely self sufficient I just feel our families will think we've bitten off more than we can chew because our parents only had two children each so have no experience with three. I hope I'm wrong I hope they are overjoyed we've been blessed again.

Right nighty night gals! Thinking of all of you and your precious little beans! Growing nice and snugly! :-)

Thanks Danielle! Cute ticker :) I'm feeling anxious to tell our families as well, but only because of our loss last month. I wanted to tell my parents and brother and sister today, but I woke up at 6 and was just full of anxiety about telling them!

How early do most people break the news to close family?? I'm 4wks, 4 days today :) I feel good, and my test lines keep getting darker daily, which is very very comforting!! The doctor told me yesterday all my levels looked good on my beta, so that makes me feel more comfortable telling my family... but I don't want to tell my husband's family for another few weeks.. I'm thinking sometime after our first sonogram. Am I being unfair? I don't know.. I'm so torn about whether or not to break the happy news!! What do you all think?

We had not planned to tell anyone until the 12 week mark or about Easter.  Due to some vacation plans for my inlaws (they had planned to visit Dh next month but Dh wants to give them the opportunity to decide if they want to come in October instead) and the fact that I live with my grandma and she will have figured it out before then, we decided to tell them now.

How many weeks are you John?

I won't be 4 weeks until tomorrow or Monday so I am really early.

My hcg levels were 18 on the day of my missed period, and I think noodle implanted on Sunday night, which was 11dpo. My doctor said 18 was normal, and she wasn't worried, which is very comforting. We're really excited, and I want to tell my family, but I'm also anxious since it's so early.

Ok, so I'm only 4 days ahead of you :) Are you going to get betas done? I got a second one done on Friday, 3 days after my missed period, which I thought was a great idea at the time even though my doctor said I didn't need to. But now I'm just obsessing about what the results will be! duh.gif

Hugs Dahlia! This anxiety is so hard to shake. I feel confident that this little bean is a sticky one but I also want to er on the side caution. I guess telling family early though means you get lots of extra support which is amazing.

we have told our families at different times with each of our pregnancy's the first we told at just after 10weeks and at about 6weeks with ds2. All the best with whatever you decide Hun, I know your family will be over the moon!

And re: telling your in laws. Whatever you decide as long as both you and your husband are ok with it that's all that matters. I'm quite close to my mil so we tend to tell her first and I'm ok with that, but at the birth I always want my parents meeting baby first.
We wont be telling anyone anytime soon. I am having betas done every other day until I have my first ultrasound at the end of this coming week. I am really hoping we might see a heartbeat.

Well, we were undecided about telling my parents when they came over today, but we forgot to put away baby books and they saw lol! So that helped us make the decision twins.gif They were really really happy, and so excited!
