Banana, I hope you are not my omen, if I can't hear the heartbeat next Monday, I will be crushed! I can't hide his belly anymore, I'm going to have to tell anyway. Oh, and for the lice, there are sprays that you can buy that have tea tree oil in them (or I bet you can make your own) that are meant to keep lice at bay. TTO is supposed to work well as a repellant, and it would make me feel like I was doing something proactive... Lol...

I probably am not an omen for you! She thinks I could also have an anterior placenta, which is contributing to the difficulty. I think I had one with dd3 too. I didn't feel movement as early ad I did with dd2.

The TTO is an exellent idea. I have some and I will add it to our hair cleaning regimen before I go and while there. I will feel better knowing I am doing something protective.

Heather, glad you got a chance to see baby, even though I'm sure there was a bit of momentary disappointment at there only being one. hug2.gif

Melly, big hugs to you.  That must be really stressful.  I hope all is well and it is a false alarm. But we will be here to support you no matter what. hug.gif

Banana, lice! yikes2.gif  (I thought the little spots on top of the head could pass for lice lol.gif).  Have you heard of the cetaphil treatment for lice?  It's supposed to be very effective and very gentle.  Here is the website with info on the method and here is a little blurb from the NY times about it.  I've heard good things about it from mamas that have tried it.  Maybe you can pass the info onto them?

Thanks, I will. I know that they are doing traditional treatments but also using natural stuff in the time in between. They are going all out...

It was probably baby's abdomen and head. It was crazy! But we never saw anything suspicious after that.

Melly, so sorry for the stress!  hug2.gif

Banana, so sorry about your trip.  It's so frustrating when we have our hearts and minds set on something and it doesn't work out the way we anticipated.  shy.gif  I bet the trip will be great though!

Thanks for all the welcomes everyone!

Melly-  Hugs!  It must have been so hard to hear all that with your family there.  I hope the next leg of this is a lot easier on you, and ends in good news.

Banana-  Tea tree oil is good, and also eucalyptus oil.  I use those (usually with some peppermint) when I go down to visit relatives in southern Alabama and Mississippi for the fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes.
