I really like this!  So much more positive that how I usually refer to mine, I will have to remember to start saying this instead.  I always thought of my large breasts as a pain... I could no longer be a tomboy, started getting checked out by men, could never find a bra that fit, clothes always seemed to fit funny... then I breastfed my DS for the first time!  Oh what appreciation I had for these magnificent gifts of nourishment and life!  Finally, my boobs were working with me, not against me!

Yes mama505, they are expensive to clothe and harness but man can they produce some milk!

My thighs make all my pants fit funny and they don't give anything in return XD

I'm just praying for a mild summer! redface.gif Houston in July and August can be deathly hot and humid. I'm planning to get a big kiddie pool for the yard (though I'll be wishing it were more private!). I hate going to public pools but figure we'll spend a lot of time at the pool in our new neighborhood. There's a splash pad, too, but I'll be the one needing cooling the most!

I think I may be on maternity clothes full time soon, if not now. The new jeans I got before I found out I was pg were not quite the right style to begin with, and now with losing weight AND having a growing belly, the fit is pretty wonky. But my maternity pants fit great! And I think I now have more of those than regular pants. I'm going to have to do some serious shopping after baby!!

I had my CVS yesterday and it was pretty intense. My placenta was in the worst spot for it. Stuck to the back of my uterus. Ironic as I had an anterior placenta with both other babies! At least I will feel more movement this time. smile.gif results in 7-10 days. My genetic counselor told me in the 7 months they have been offering the maternit21 test they have had two false readings! One baby born with DS after a negative test, and a positive test for T18 and follow up amino showed healthy baby. I guess it's only 95% accurate for T18. Scary though.

I live in San Francisco so summer pregnancy is no problem. It's not that warm here, the fog and ocean keep it mostly temperate.

My husband got a job in SF, Askew. We'll be moving there in the Fall (or the Summer after that if he gets the clerkship in the Hague.)

Did it hurt??

A mild summer in Houston, HeatherB? You mean March? Ha. If I weren't on my phone, I'd use that smiley that laughs hysterically pounding the floor. I admire your optimism! It's no picnic in Nac in the summer, but nothing compares to the oppression of Houston in summer. Man, I miss that place!

You will love it here! It's amazing. I've lived in 5 other states and keep coming back.

Yes, it hurt a lot. Probably more than it should of as then had to move my cervix pretty far south to straighten it, and get access to the placenta- which was really painful. Thank god for yoga breathing. They also gave me tertubiline sp? to relax the uterus which was no fun. Like 5 cups of coffee. It was over in 10 minutes though.

lol.gif I know, right? If it rains all summer, it will stay cooler. Then again, if we don't get any rain, we'll have record highs (again). I think we're due for rain!! (Where's the praying smiley?!) lol.gif

I'm sure you're glad to have that CVS done with!  Fingers crossed for your results.

Another bay area mama here!  I live down on the peninsula.  I spent a few years working in the city so know it fairly well.

That's a nice place to live, I bet!

Do you commute into the city? What's the travel like. Dh will be working right smack in the middle of downtown. We figured we'd rent a shoebox in the city for the first year and then we'll have a better idea of what his work load is actually going to be like when we are deciding on realistic commute time.

SF is cool city, but I'm kind of a country girl smile.gif

Not to be a dummy, but what's a CVS?

Crafty, I don't know what a CVS is either! I do hope it turns out ok for you askew. And oh how I would love to live in SF!

Overall I think I am feeling better at 11 weeks but I still have some bouts of bad fatigue and nausea. Haven't thrown up but felt like I could have last night.grossedout.gif I have also had two symptoms I didn't have with my girls...insomnia and being cold all the time! I am pretty sure I ran hot with the girls but this time I can't get warm. I was also up at 4am washing my hair (an ordeal since I have dreads) because I couldn't sleep. Uck....

One the upside I got garden supplies to get going on some cool weather vegetables and my first midwife appointment is Wedensday so hopefully I can finally hear that heartbeat.joy.gif

I am in outside sales and only work in the city once a week. East bay one day, Marin one day, napa Sonoma the other. I love it. DH commutes to Marin which is still an hour with traffic. I love the city to visit, but the weather gets to me. Too cold and way too gray in the summer. All you do Is cross the golden gate and suddenly it's all sunny and gorgeous. East bay is foggy too. I lived 2 years in the Pacific Northwest and gray and I do not mix.

Check out Fairfax if you are a country girl. Very cool area. 40 min or less to the city. smile.gif

It's an invasive genetic test like amino. My second has a genetic disorder so it's pretty important to us to know early on if we have anything going on with this babe.

Nice, I was in sales applications support until recently and commuted all over the bay.  I just transitioned into a different position, same company, that lets me work from home ~3 days/week.

I am totally country now.  We live in the mountains, in a town with less than 200 people.  Our next-door neighbor has 2 alpacas!  Very atypical for the bay area.

Thanks all!

When dh was working out there over the summer he stayed at my uncle's place in San Gregorio. It seemed like a rather long commute to me, but he didn't seem to mind. But wow! What a beautiful place!
