Also, don't hide in shame because you like ultrasounds! Opinions differ of course, but there's plenty of research and 30 years of very, very common use to support their safety when used normally. :) Besides, mamas deal with enough shame about every choice we make (no matter what the choice, someone will criticize us for it, and treat us like we're a bad mom). You don't have to apologize or feel bad about your prenatal and birth choices. Haters gonna hate. You do your own thing! Whether that thing is an ultrasound or no ultrasound, finding out the sex in advance or not finding out, home birth or hospital birth. We're all just making the best decisions we can for ourselves and our families.

I agree, it seems like mommy wars can happen over every little thing! I don't have many "crunchy" friends IRL so it's not as hard to defend an u/s, but with the ones I do have, or online, holy craaaap! You'd think I was justifying murder!

Here is one of the u/s pics we got yesterday!

Baby is measuring about a week ahead, but that, combined with a few other things, has me thinking maybe boy. (even though measurements can mean nothing, but they were certainly on for him and he was bigger!!!)  But I initially thought girl because things started out like my DD1's pregnancy.  Buuuuut...I never seem to have any intuition or ideas so....yeah.

Aaaand, I did purchase the Click Connect 40 in Moonstruck (at BRU for only $150! I NEVER purchase carseats there...or anything else, for that matter, but with them being one of the only retailers I didn't have much of an option, and we had a Scenera to trade in which made it a great deal! I had no interest in the seat just for the new features, especially at it's regular price, but when it came down to the same cost as the SR35 I wanted, I definitely preferred the CC!).  I am really happy with it (though baby isn't here yet) and it definitely seems smaller in ways that my old Snugride 32 wasn't (as well as compared to the SR35, as I mentioned in the last post). It also DOES click and lock onto my Graco attachment bar for my Phil & Teds Explorer! So that'll be handy for those few times I need that.

this is baby B yesterday. we normally dont get a good pic of any of the boys anymore... but the dr caught this one.. I love it..and love this face! To bad his brothers did not co operate :)

I ordered two brands from Amazon, both are knee -highs. One brand was Sockwell. These have not arrived yet - I will let you know how they are. The other I ordered was Ames Walker. (For whatever reason I am having a hard time posting links - my apologies). The Ames Walker socks are made from microfiber - and seem to be fine. Hope that is helpful.

Had more back pain yesterday morning and period like cramping. Went to my midwife appt at 9:30am and she just thinks its normal aches and pains for a 3rd baby (more stuff loose, etc). She ordered me a support belt from a medical supply company and told me to take Tylenol PM for sleep. I felt fine yesterday afternoon and today. She also thinks if it was anything more, the pains would not come and go, they'd be constant. I don't know if I can take 11 more weeks of this, ugh.

I opted out of the glucose screening. I have no symptoms and I just don't want to deal with the hassle of it. I do still have to go in for a hemoglobin test though. Then to see my midwife in 4 more weeks. I was worried because I figured since I'm 29 weeks, they'd want to start seeing me every 2 weeks now, and I did not want to do that. So I was surprised when she said 4 more weeks, but releaved.  

Man this baby will be here before I know it. The main thing I need to do is get a van! My car cannot fit 3 carseats; we cannot get a van until we sell our Jeep Wrangler; need to fix the Jeep in order to sell it and get the most possible money. This is what is stressing me out the most right now. I know everything else is not nearly as important and can wait until after baby is born.

I start my doula training this weekend too! Very excited.

Yay baby!  I am guessing boy for you too but that might be wishful thinking because "2 girls and 2 boys" is my dream family.  :)

I *much* prefer reusable pads, especially when I'm at home. I leak like a fountain too and the even the "best" sposies give me a rash if I wear them non-stop (which I have to) So, I like to use cloth ones when I'm at home (and it doesn't matter if they're seen under my clothes) and at night and then sposies when I'm out and about.

I've not used bamboobies, but I've heard good reviews of them and I did order the promo because I'd like to try them out.

I like the one's from WeeEssentials on Etsy. They have PUL, and are the only ones I didn't leak through (unlike the re-usables you can buy in most stores). But I sold mine after DD weaned. This time I'm making my own (also with PUL).

I have used reusable pads, but I leaked through them almost immediately. That being said, I didn't know they even *made* reusable pads with PUL, so those might be worth a shot.

I should add that some people say you shouldn't use ones with PUL because they hold moisture against your skin (could be bad for Thrush-prone women). But my purely anecdotal experience (and scientifically useless sample of one) is that I never had Thrush, even when I switched to the reusables with PUL after having been using the disposables. I think if they're absorbant enough, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Just change them once soaked, ya know? I had a whole bunch from WeeEssentials (and they come in fun prints!)...and I'd just toss them in a lingerie bag so they wouldn't get lost in the wash. She makes MamaCloth too.
