I hate looking fro nursing bra's. I can't wear an underwire when I am nursing, and I like a little padding so I don't have "nippl-age" all the time. The hardest part is that I am a big cup size but a small band size. I don't know what I will be this time (I'm afraid to know... my boobs feel much bigger this time for some reason)... last time I think I was a 34DDD or something like that. I'm willing to save to buy a couple good bra's... just have to find them. I know there are some i have seen on the internet that looked promising, but no where local sells them and I hate buying on the internet because returns are such a pain. I just want to be comfortable... is that too much to ask?!?!?! Haha.

This, so much! I'm not a small band size, but I was an F before I got pregnant, and since then, I know they're bigger, and will (more than likely) get bigger when I start nursing, but... I'm *so* afraid to find out. And the same thing, I *hate* ordering clothes and stuff online. If you find something, let me know? I'll do the same. orngtongue.gif

OMG! Look at those BABIES!!! Adorable!

(I'm just going to double post my post from my May DDC since I am now "officially" due in April. Hope no one minds. It is kind of off topic from your thread...)

We are having such nice weather here that DD and I went out to do some extra animal chores this morning. We just got 7.5 inches of snow but now it is above freezing and is suppose to be all week so it is all melting. I had to lift and toss a few bales of straw and had to lift a couple of 5 gallon buckets of water chest height into the ATV and then walk through snow and now my uterus is yelling at me. haha. But at least I got my workout in for the day. It is getting really hard to carry DD now, too. It is like she is just adding too much weight to my stomach and the baby is like GET OFF ME! I am feeling the end is near! I am having some 'OMG' moments when I think about being 32 weeks on Friday!!! Although I only have a little bit of last minute labor prep and postpartum stuff to get so it's not like a rush to get anything done. I am hoping to get the shopping, maybe some house cleaning type stuff, and anything else I think of done in March and then just have April to coast through. I am hoping April consists of leisurely stroller walks and ordering pizza and napping. lol.gif

I was able to check my cervix again lastnite and it is feeling pretty mushy and maybe a little bit more than a finger tip dilated and I can put my finger in about halfway to the knuckle on the end. Does that sound about normal? The last few days I have been having some frequent BMs, not loose or anything but just like multiple times a day, which is very rare for me. I also have NO room for food these days. It is crazy! I eat a normal size breakfast and then can basically just sip liquids or chew ice until around 3, then have a snack, then a little supper and then I am stuck with heartburn until I go to bed around 11:00. I have never had a problem plowing through food in the last trimester.

Congratulations CaNanny! The boys are adorable! I hope your recovering well smile.gif

I have to get the crib and mattress still, and sheets and a few blankets and s few more newborn sised items. And socks. Goodness be socks for newborns are expensive, even at walmart! I did buy myself a sleeping outfit for the hospital, just need to stock up on pads (which I'm going to hate wearing. I hate pads as they make me feel so dirty.) I have 5 weeks exactly from today till I deliever (that's my csection day) and I am starting to get nervous. I feel like I shouldn't be, as this is my second. But I had DD 6 and a half years ago. It'll be good though smile.gif gotta go get DD of the bus now.

I'm SO glad I'm not alone in thinking baby socks are ridiculously priced. $6 for a small pack o.o!

You can get baby socks at the dollar store. :)

I got a few because I saw some cute ones, but other than that, this kid is set from all the socks people threw in with the boxes/bags of used closing I bought on Kijiji (like Craig's List). I even got a bunch of the socks that looks like little sneakers in one lot of clothing! I was super happy about that because I love those things, but they're really, really pricey.

I see the baby sized ones at Target $1 bin every now and again, but never in the NB size :( Sneaker socks are SO cute! And way more practical than trying to keep shoes on a baby lol.

Speaking of socks, I think I'm going to toss many of our printed socks out and buy each kid a pack of white socks with a colored bottom.. I can't keep up with laundry, and trying to find all the different pairs of socks is just ridiculous! DH thinks I'm nutso, but I think it would really help me out!

That's not nuts at all! Nuts is wasting time matching a million socks. If your kids aren't old enough to match their socks, you gotta make it easier for yourself!

Another option to consider would be having each kid's socks go into a delicates bag instead of the hamper. Then you just wash the bag with the laundry and everybody's socks are kept separate. Combine that with plain white socks, and matching will be super easy!

My favorite socks are the Old Navy ones. They have grip on the bottom (which is great for play areas, and our laminate floors to prevent slipping). But instead of just shapes or whatever for the grips, it says Old Navy and the sock SIZE. It's made it easy when DD outgrows a size, to sort out the old ones. And when Old Navy has a good sale, or a coupon, they're not bad price-wise. I buy all white ones for DD (who's 4), and she can match them herself that way. DS will be so much younger, that it will be easy to tell them apart for a while. By the time his socks are big enough to possibly get confusing, I'm hoping she'll be doing her own laundry. I'm really big on teaching independence and life skills (my parents never taught me to do laundry), so I'm all for having a six or seven year old do her own chores like that. I even got her a flip fold junior so she can fold her shirts neatly (and I love it too, I use it for DH's shirts...all my shirts hang in the closet). When she was smaller I got the ON pack of different pinks and stuff, but, like you, I got tired of matching stuff. Actually, my husband was the one who requested we just buy plain white!

Here are the ON socks: http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=37874&vid=1&pid=652293002   They're on sale right now, $10 for 8 pairs.

Oh Cananny, they're so beautiful!! Thank you for sharing their pictures with us heartbeat.gif

Add me to the list of people who hate matching socks! Seriously, socks are one of our biggest struggles and it's ridiculous. My oldest has bigger feet then I do and my littlest two are almost the same size so socks are just a nightmare. We've started trying to do the "garmet bag" system and it helps a little but we're not quite there yet. It's worse because I personally *like* cute socks - I'm totally guilty of buying holiday themed socks for stockings and easter baskets and that sort of thing (can you say glutten for punishment....) But something has got to give. We're working on some major clothes-purging and socks are going to be a focal point here really soon winky.gif

my 2 boys wear almost the same size as well, so I only buy one size/style/color so there is absolutely no sock matching necessary. (one is 3, the other 5, socks stretch enough imo..)  they're all dumped in a drawer and every sock is every other sock's partner. This baby's a girl, so she's just getting one kind of sock, but obviously will be identifiable due to the adorably tiny size.  I hear there are also sock clips to attach pairs together when they go in the wash.  It's different with boys though.. there aren't really cute options so it's grey every day!

Babies!!! *squee* They are beautiful Cananny. I really hope you are all recovering well.

Totally loving all this practice breathing baby has been doing. Just thrills me!!!! I can easily feel his/her head regularly now and try to guestimate it's size. LOL (considering my u/s measurements showed another very big headed baby!)

Oh my gosh I just cannot wait. I ordered my birth supplies today as well. Still need to get a fresh tincture of Shepherds Purse ad Angelica but am otherwise set!

How does their practice breathing feel? I feel all sorts of stuff but am clueless as to what the breathing would feel like.

It is almost like a pulse, but faster than mine and not as fast as baby's. LOL. I can generally feel it first (like hiccups) and then see it, like a portion of my belly is "throbbing" rhythmically, if that makes sense. It is a really unique sensation, I think.

I was wondering what that felt like to. And I think I feel it! I thought it was hiccups. Cool! 34 weeks today - 3 until LO is full term!

Yeah, hiccups feel very different to me...much stronger and "jerkier" and not quite as perfectly rhythmic.  LOL  Practice breathing feels just like if I do it quickly myself, how my lungs expand...that's just like how it looks/feels through my belly.  Such a hard thing to accurately describe, but hopefully that makes sense.

That makes a lot of sense and now I'm thinking I may have noticed that as well. I have noticed hiccups but some of those have been a slower rhythm. Definitely cool to think it could be her practice breathing.

What does practice breathing look/feel like lol? I've only felt kicks/punches.. and with my other two I never knew what the hiccups felt like, either lol.

I ordered my birth kit today as well :) What do you use the tinctures for?

Ugh, I hate pads too. I'm so glad that I don't have a full 6 weeks of PP bleeding. I think mine has been a nice short 2-3 weeks.

TBH baby socks stress me out. I don't know why but when I was pregnant with DD I kept seeing them in stores and thinking I just knew I was going to forget to get enough and then I would feel dumb for not having socks on her or something. It was one of those weird FTM fears. Just the mention of baby socks makes me want to go check the baby's dresser to see if I have enough.... I thought about just getting a good decent pair of booties and have them on her with every outfit.

Weird! i don't think I have felt that before. Baby has a lot of hiccups whenever I have sugar but they are very jerky and def not breathing.

I saw my friend tonight who just turned 37 weeks and I had such mixed emotions about it. I felt both jealous that she was almost done and yet glad that I wasn't 37 weeks yet. Crazy pregnancy hormones/emotions...... Maybe you have already talked about this in the DDC but is anyone doing EPO? When is the best time to start?

I bought one 6 pack of NB-6m baby socks, bet they'll all be missing in a week...hahaha! I don't like socks in general(if my sock induced post wasn't a good indicator)

In 2 days, I'll be one month away from being able to "safely" have Calliope, and it freaks me out. I have a friend at 38w, and I feel the jealousy part she's almost done, but at the same time I'm like..."YEAH, I DON'T want a baby in a month!" :P I'll be taking EPO orally at 35 weeks, and vaginally at 37. Not sure if that's the recommended time frame, but that's what I did with DS and I didn't go into labor until close to 43 weeks, so I'm not horribly convinced taking them at 35w will do much but prep my body :)
