Vaccine friendly pediatrician in Long Island?

Hi, could you recommend good pediatrician who is vax-friendly? We live in Rockville centre but ready to drive if necessary.

I'm also looking for a doctor on Long Island.  I like the office we started going to, but they want us to sign a form if we delay or don't vax.  I'm really not comfortable signing the form since it says I'm endangering my child.

Hi. I highly recommend Dr. Anthony Capobianco in Glen Cove. He is a Osteopath who also practices homeopathy. I take my daughter to see him and my sister takes my niece. He has done wonders for myself and family. When I started seeing him in high school I suffered from asthma. After 2 visits I never needed an inhaler again.

Here's a link to the whole country list from Dr. Sears' website:

My sister went to Nina Tomei in Huntington and was refused to be seen because she is on medicaid even though she had saved up the money to pay out-of-pocket, so I don't know what the deal is there.

When I lived in NYC, I took my children to Ben Kligler at the Continuum Center for Health and Healing- if you just need a form signed or a visit every few years, it might be worth the trip into Manhattan for that piece of mind... I don't get along with doctors usually, but he is incredibly kind, supportive and non-judgmental.  He didn't mind when I said I just wanted to have him as our family doctor just in case... well, you know what happens to AP parents now and then, unfortunately.

Good luck :)

Oh my god- that's crazy!

Yes, we believe we are endangering our children.  That's why we had kids- to hurt them.  Unreal!

I live in Queens but drive over an hour to Huntington for Dr Nina Tomei - totally worth it , not only is she no-vax friendly but she's also one of the best pediatricians out there.

I had to sign a form, but it was the standard, disclaimer,  insurance-covering-their-ass type of form. It did not say that we were endangering our child, but as a Dr she explained that she has to recommend we vaccinate and we have to sign off saying that we've listened to her recommendation and are choosing not to vax.
