My 7 month old dd has usually (I say usually because she's not the greatest sleeper ever - let's be honest) woken up 1-3 times in the night to eat. We cosleep, so she'll latch on, nurse, and go back to sleep without ever waking up all the way. I'm totally fine with that.
The past couple of nights, she has been waking up soo many times... it feels like dozens, but I wasn't counting. The weird thing, though, is that she wakes up crying and won't nurse! I have to stand up, pick her up and rock her back to sleep. She'll nurse once I pick her up, but she doesn't seem hungry, and she goes back to sleep fairly quickly (I guess I'll count my blessings there). It seems like this happens between pretty much every sleep cycle for the past two nights in a row. She's been fine during the day, naps well.
What's up with that? Is this a common phase?
