Best baby food maker

Hello everyone I am new to the site and have a four month old little boy who I exclusively breast feed...at his doctors appointment yesterday his doctor told us he needs more calories due to my milk production decreasing greensad.gif I really don't want to give him formula so I chose the baby food and breast milk combo. While I've been looking for baby food makers to make my own baby food for him I don't know which to get because there are so many choices. Which baby food maker is everybody's favorite? I need opinions! Right now I'm leaning towards the Beaba Baby cook.

Not really answering your question but did you see a lactation consultant? Try other methods to increase supply, consider getting a second opinion from another (breastfeeding friendly) dr? Is there a weight gain issue? what are the grounds for this decision from dr?

Lactation consults should be covered under Obama care. World health organization recommends delaying solids until at least 6 mos. BM and formula have more nutrition and fat than solids (to my understanding).

I would contact a local LLL in your area ASAP

I have a friend who is a le leche leader and have spoken with her, I have tried fenugreek tea and supplements for increasing my milk supply....I have been thinking about possibly finding another doctor anyways because our doctor seems to look down on natural things. Thank you for your input!

I second the opinions of getting ahold of an LLL leader or visiting a lactation consultant.

Also, you dont say how old your baby is, so Im not sure what kinds of foods he will be eating, but when I made baby food I really loved my baby food mill.

Beaba Baby cook is good food processor for making baby food. But, before you buy it, I suggest you also compare it with other brands. I personally like the one from cuisinart. It is simple and fast for making baby food. When finish, it is also easy for cleaning up. Check this appliance in this article, http://www.squidoo.com/cuisinart-bfm-1000-baby-food-maker

This article also compares baby food makers from different brands, so you will know which one is best one for you and your baby.

While I hope you've gotten everything squared away by now, I used an attachment for my KitchenAde Mixer.
