Unable to start new thread in Pets forum

I keep trying and failing to start a new thread in Pets. It tells me that I am required to select at least one "tag" for a new thread, but the field where the tags normally are is blank. I can't check a tag, and so it won't let me start the thread. I'm using firefox on a mac.

I can see the issue but I've not been able to correct it. I'll report this to tech support. So sorry for the problem.
