Stinky Neck! Is it a yeast infection?

4mo with red/pink neck creases. What can I put on it to  help it heal and dry out? It seems to keep coming back. Any advise?

It may not be yeast necessarily...does babe have a diaper rash at all?

He could be getting warm and sweaty. You could watch for that and dress him more loosely...I don't normally use powder ever on my babies but I might be tempted to carefully put some on just to give it a chance to dry out, which is hard since the powder is being applied near the mouth.  You could blow on it it periodically to dry it out as well.

My chunky babies I really have had to watch to keep it clean and dry, otherwise milk gets in the creases and stinks. If it seems irritated you can try earth mama angel baby or mothelove's diaper salves.

I'd put some kind of salve or just plain coconut oil (which also kills yeast if it is yeast) on it.

You could then dust it with cornstarch to help dry it out if that is what you're looking for.

I love the way a new babys neck smells. I know...I'm weird lol

How's it going?

:-) definitely not yeast infection. Just aged breast milk cheese ... gross, can't believe I just wrote that. It cleared up quickly with coconut oil and I am blowing it dry with my mouth after washing. Thanks for the great advise.
