A monthly thread to talk about all of our various journeys through the difficult, trying and often heartbreaking world of infertility. This thread is a place to chat, vent, get support, cheer each other on and hopefully laugh!

Trying to Conceive #1

Becky8824 - TTC#1 since March 2008 with PCOS and possible T-shaped uterus.  4 IUIs done with exDH, currently with DB and step mom to his 3 children.  Clomid and IUI done December 20, 2012.

Deborahbgkelly - (30); DH (30) Began TTC 2/2011; BFP after IVF in 11/2011.  Late second trimester pregnancy loss of identical twin boys in 3/2012.  Fertility challenges: Endometriosis, Diminished Ovarian Reserves (likely due to Endo) and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (anti-thyroid antibodies).  Tested Homozygous positive for MTHFR mutation.  Good news on egg quality, minor male factor infertility (low Morphology).  IVF cycle #2 resulted in BFP, but we lost another little one. Moving on to adoption.

Fierrbugg - (36), DH (37), TTC#1 since 02/2001, 3 miscarriages (2000, 2004 & 2007), misdiagnosed as PCOS in 2002 and 2 failed Femara cycles at that time + lots of other misdiagnoses.  Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency (2009), Thyroidectomy/Thyroid Cancer (2012).  Working to get thyroid hormones balanced, prolactin figured out and toward aggressive medical intervention in 2013.

This cycle we are doing 100mg clomid, days 3-7, Ovidyl injectable around cd13, and 400 mg progesterone at the end of cycle. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/241e11

We really don't either - because our anniversary is earlier in the month, so we'd rather have a special anniversary vs. overpriced holiday.  Was just hoping someone out there was planning a special day with their loved one.

Hi all. I'm still here (unfortunately). Fingers crossed that I ovulated yesterday and we'll be starting our first and only injectables cycle in 2 weeks!

Toothfairy:  It could be semi-almost-maybe-romantic - all freezing cold and cuddly, right?

GranolaMommie:  I love that idea!

Started a new bible study this week and one of the girls there - the only other one married without kids actually announced to this room full of mothers and grandmothers and me that she and her dh were ttc.  Made me realize how jaded I had become because my first reaction was to stroke her hair and say, 'Ah, Sweetie, you're new here aren't you?'  Mean.  How I long for those days when you actually felt you could announce to the world you were going to get pg - because you just were, right?  Ha.  Oh well.  Got a call from my Endo (yes the actual Dr. - which is part of why I loved her so much the first time around).  No indications of cancer coming up in my blood tests, my A1c was high (oh joy!) asked me how I was feeling because my thyroid levels were low so she is going to keep me on the current dose but may up it even more.  Finally someone who pays attention to my body's reaction and the numbers and not their ego.  orngbiggrin.gif

fierrbug- that is great that your endo works with you so well.  My endo is so amazing.  She keeps my levels hyper due to my symptoms but we watch it closely.  Good endos are hard to find!

Fierbugg- Would you update my blurb please? Just change the retrieval and transfer date to say, IVF cycle #2 resulted in BFP, but we lost another  little one.  Moving on to  adoption. Thanks.

SilaMarila:  Fingers crossed.  Hoping you O'd and all is well.

granolamommie:  Lucky!!  On the edge of hyper is where I would love to be and where I think she is going to end up putting me.  Am so sick of having the hypo symptoms in droves.   thumb.gif

deborahbgkelly:  Done.

Nothing to report, just dropping in to say Hi!  wave.gif

Thanks Fierrbugg. I appreciate it.

TF - NHL? I don't follow it. I've been to one game and really liked it though!

Fierrbug - Great about your results! Wow, those were the days huh? When you could be so naive. I feel like I never really had them. I knew we would have problems from the get go.

Granolamommie - Way cool tradition!

AFM - 5dpo. No chance I'm pg as we decided not to try this cycle to make things less stressful. I ordered my meds on Tuesday!
