We did not get to come home today. I was super emotional about it and just feeling awful for Bettie. So I went to spend some time with my older kids before DH left the hospital for the night.

And when I came back, the awesome gifts and cards from you ladies were in our room. And Bettie was laughing and throwing the balloon clip off the bed, making the balloon bounce, and just cracking up. I cried happy tears. You ladies have no idea how much you brightens our day! I am so grateful and lucky to have such an awesome group of friends, even if I never met a single one of you. Thank you so much guys!

I was definitely at that point where I just didn't think I could take much more. It was perfect timing, it made us all feel very good. I can't possibly put into words how appreciated it was!

I'm so glad it helped!  And I'm so glad you're home!!!  Hoping, hoping, hoping this is all over for you guys!

We're sick here again, but just colds, nothing major.  Of course mine lingered for 2 weeks, but everyone else got over theirs in a few days.  I'm hoping this is our last illness of the season, but with our luck we'll have one more round in March.  Probably over spring break.  Sigh...  Almost to spring!!!

I've been working like a crazy person on my garden plan and it's almost done!  Entering the world of growing transplants and attempting to succession gardening has my mind spinning, but I'm giving it a go!  My father will be visiting this week and I'm super excited for the break and the help.  He's going to get me going with my grow lights as well as some other garden projects.  Yay!

So glad you guys are finally home!

i have reached my limit here in AR. My MIL is on her way from NE to pick us up. We are renting another car, so we will have one for kids and one for puppies. Then we are going to drive for 12 hours tomorrow to get back to NE in one day. George is going to stay here with the bus until its done. We left the shop we were at and didn't pay them any more. We will find a new shop on Monday and pay them to get it right!

Abra, that's crazy that the bus still isn't done. I hope the new shop is able to fix it quickly. Sheesh.

So glad you are home, Ash! How's Bettie today? I hope she's doing well! I was going to say - have you tried homemade bone broth with her? It's incredibly nourishing and very easy to digest.

Oh Abra, that sounds frustrating! Glad you guys have some kind of alternative other than staying on the bus.

Bettie did lose weight, 4 pounds. So as of yesterday she was 19 pounds. I can't imagine she will gain or even not lose for a few more days. I've started fenugreek to increase my supply since breast milk seems to be easiest for her to digest. We did try bone broth before the hospital, but I will have to try again now that we are home. I was smuggling organic and fresh purees into the hospital :P. f

Wow, Ash, she must have really started putting on weight after her allergies were diagnosed. I remember she was neck and neck with Soren for a while and he is only 18. I'm glad she had something extra to lose!

Oatmeal works really well to increase supply, too, if you're eating that! I ate oatmeal when Rhyko was little and it worked really well. I had two bowls a day for about a week and there was a noticeable difference!

I will pick up some oatmeal. I usually eat it every day but they only had Quaker Instant at he hospital. Blech.

Yes she put in weight crazy fast after we figured out her allergies! We both drank almond milk regularly and she was allergic to almonds. I always ate a ton of almonds too.

Gastroparesis can take a while to get better. Like, weeks or years. So we just have to wait and see.

I gave her a few "puffs" a bit ago because the melt so easily. So far so good.

I know! She outpaced Jasper, who pretty much stopped growing a few months ago. He can still wear 12 m clothes, and only weighs 21 lbs fully clothed. He's my teeny little guy.
