Ugh, Dahlia, I'm sorry to hear that. I found my breakfast was significantly harder to choke down this morning than yesterday, and I still feel a bit queasy even though I have a full stomach. Aloya, I'm 6 weeks pregnant.

It's ok, I really don't mind all that much to be honest... it's not fun, but I kinda like feeling pregnant if that makes sense haha.

Happy Valentines day everyone!

I'm 7 weeks, but I could definitely say my waistline was destroyed about 24 hours after getting the positive pregnancy test (and I tested when I was one day late).  I mean destroyed, like, ok, I look like a bloated michelin man in any of my normal clothes, need to wear tunics and blousy things only.  So at this point, 7.5 weeks in, yeah, my tum has popped a tiny bit.  More of a spare tire bloat, frankly, but the front part feels decidedly uncomfortable when I'm sitting and wearing an underwire bra.  The jeans dig in and the underwire feels awful.  Just not fitting anymore.  I'm normally pretty slim so it's all quite noticeable, and like a few of you I put on some pounds during the holidays and trying to conceive, so now I'm a solid 5 pounds up from my status quo.  it's all around my spare tire.  I feel so not sexy!  But the swollen boobs help distract the whole scene quite a bit, since that's where my partner's libido lies.  ;)  Nothing else is of concern!  haha    But my valentine is out of town on business, blah.   My little valentines are here, plus the two kitties.  But none the wiser as to why I'm so wiped out and exhausted.

Gosh, job interview in fourteen hours!  How am I going to act perky and professional?  Or fit into a suit?

Started going back to yoga, but I think I'm going to skip the strenuous aerobics classes and start back walking. Too bad the weather is not cooperating. But yeah, I can't believe I'm already starting to show. It must be because it's my 4th pregnancy. Isn't it your 4th too?

Yep, this is my fourth as well.  And I, too, am about 5 or 6 lbs heavier than my normal 6 wk weight.  I dragged my exercise bike back in from the garage yesterday.. I had put it out there because I knew my crawler would get hurt on it.. now he's a capable toddler.  he likes to climb up on the seat and look out the window.  <3

I'm so glad I'm not the only one!!  This is exactly how I feel, too.. uncomfortable in all of my clothes.. yet it seems waaaay too early to have to get out my pregnancy clothes.

Good luck on the job interview!

What type of job is the interview for? Hope it goes well!

All the best for your job interview Serafina! I look forward to hearing how it goes.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines day, mine was quiet but just what I needed. Curling up with dh for an early night was perfect.

Friday here thank goodness, dh was supposed to be on holiday for a fortnight this past Wednesday but its been re-scheduled to next week, so I just need to get through a few more days on my own. Lots of tidying today we have a playdate after school today.

I can already feel my uterus outside my pubic bone, I am almost 7wks, it's uncomfortable carrying my toddler, I got a bargain pair of maternity jeans they were on sale for $15 down from $70. I've already worn them once. By the end of the day my wee bump is very recognisable. Feeling a bit More upbeat today which is great.

When is everyone having their first ob/midwife appt? Mine is next Tuesday energy.gifwhich I'm pretty excited about.

"Fortnight"? "Wee bump?" DanielleNZ, I just bet that the NZ is for New Zealand, huh? Yes, I am very clever for figuring it out so quickly. It's nice to have someone else who probably knows about clotted cream and fermented spreads around, though I am a newbie myself since I've only been away from the US for two months...  (uh...[doing maths] four fortnights!)

thumb.gif Spot on Aloya! I do live in New Zealand. The weathers a bit blah here today, raining on and off. I am absolutely shattered and have lay around for half the morning, just made my little guy some lunch and I am contemplating tidying up for our play date later on but I just feel hideous fever.gif and time today is going so slloooooowwwllllyyy.

Hi Danielle, glad you're feeling better :) My first ob appt is next thursday! I'm excited but nervous! I can't stop thinking about getting an ultrasound, I really really want to see the heartbeat.

Well, I really did nail the interview, or at least I hope I did.  I seemed to have answers to all their questions that their faces said they were looking for.  Whew, thank you wikipedia.  I don't know much about social media marketing or search engine optimization, but this head of marketing job calls for those skills (which I don't have exactly any experience in) so I just read a bunch of paragraphs from wikipedia on the subjects, and tried to sound like it was second nature.  I guess I'll find out next week if I get called to a second round, and if they decide not to go with me, I'll know it wasn't because I flubbed the interview, but because they found someone whose proven experience is more in-line with this role.

I'm also looking for a job.
I'm terrified to interview knowing ill be gone in October.

Serafina, I hear you on where did my waist go? Seemed like 2 days before I tested I started to spread.

I did a consult with a OB/midwife group on Tuesday and was less than impressed, but decided he was probably the most holistic provider my insurance covered. (He insists on glucose and GBS testing on one hand, but he'll attend vaginal breech births on the other, which is pretty liberal for here.) However, I met with one of the midwives, and I really liked her. When she heard that I had a home birth with my last child, she was all like, "How do you feel about having a hospital birth after having a home birth?" and encouraged me to use them for testing since my insurance doesn't cover a home birth midwifery practice but to transfer to a home birth practice if everything goes well with this pregnancy. I got bloodwork done for betas, hormones, and clotting disorders yesterday, and I'll finish it up on Saturday. I'm hoping I get a call on Monday. Totally not sure what I want to hear. Part of me wants to hear that they found something and there's something that can be done to help me keep this pregnancy. Part of me doesn't want anything to be wrong with me and those losses to be just really bad luck.

Looks like a bunch of us are job hunting smile.gif I'm in The same boat, looking for something more stable and long term. I nanny currently, but will be needing something with family benefits.

How are you all feeling? Morning sickness just keeps getting worse for me.

uggh

I am not thrilled with the constant queasiness and complete and utter exhaustion.  Man, I am totally saying yes to so many more daytime movies for my toddler than usual.  He's watching one right now.  I need to find a way to deal with this better.

On the upside I know that I have a box full of maternity clothes coming from my friend next week!  She always has the prettiest maternity clothes and she lent me a bunch for my first pregnancy.  I can't wait for spring and starting to feel this little bean moving.  It will make the next 6 or so weeks of morning sickness feel worth it.

Okay, so I am 6 wks and I am super sick with the flu. Tylenol takes the edge off a bit, but I don't like taking it being so early! Any other suggestions, I am super achey and have a cough and chest thing going on! I am nauseous off and on so I think that is just the pregnancy! I still have a fairly okay appetite!!

Luvmybabygirls, I hope you feel better soon.. I'd recommend trying mentholated cough drops to clear your sinuses, and hot tea to soothe your throat. Feel better!

Ciga, I'm with you. I'm so exhausted all the time, even though I go to bed at 9 or 930 every night nowadays.

Is anyone having cravings yet?

I think grape pop, cheesy potatoes and thai coconut soup counts as a craving.
The pasta I made for dinner I think is gross. I'm hoping to convince someone to go buy chocolate cake mix and store bought icing instead of me eating dinner. Chips and French onion dip would be great too. Here comes gastro-crazy.

hahaha ok, I'm glad it's not just me. I almost sent my husband out for Leggo Chocolate chip waffles for my dinner haha! I settled for hot chocolate with pizza instead ROTFLMAO.gif I'm just happy to be having a nice break from the nausea right now. I was sickly feeling most of the day.

Major cravings here too! Hot chocolate mmmmmm! Last night I rang my mother in law and she came over and made me a feta and spinach filo pie! Oh my it was delicious she even did the dishes! And this morning I had a hankering for an expensive brand of bread and she got that for me too, so loving she lives so close right now.

I hear you Ciga my toddler has been watching tv when I feel my worst which is usually between 10am and 12pm. The exhaustion is the worst. Barely coping with household chores right now.

Its dinner time here but I'm sneakily eating m&ms while my husband and children are outside building a screen around our deck, looking cute with their earmuffs and drills.

may the next few weeks go nice and fast and all our nausea be but a distant memory!
