So I learned something the hard way.

Not to let a doctor that does not have knowledge of the intacted penis examine your son.
Today my 3 week old had a check up. I asked a question about his penis and as she goes to examine him she says "you are retracting the forskin everyday right?" "NO!" I replied then quickly made sure she wasn't. Then I continued to explain to her that you are not suppose to do that and you just let it retract on its own after YEARS have past.
Amazing that I had to educate the "professional."

It's sad that forskin is treated as a birth defect! So many benefits that comes with being intact! Wonder how much they teach in medical school on the intact penis? I would really like to know because they teach none at prenatal appointments.

Good for you for being aware and saving your son from something very painful if that doctor had retracted his foreskin. It is very sad that doctors are so unaware of how to care for a child's body unless it has been disfigured.

Please make a complaint and send them an intact care package.
