Sending lots of labor vibes to you!!

Hi just wanted to wish you luck and offer my advice as a doula...foley bulb try the foley bulb if they know how to do it where you are birthing, the best inductions that I have been to have been at very patient hospitals with the foley bulb..be prepared though if they do place one it is really intense at first and many mamas have some panic attacks but if you have a doula to talk you through it once it is placed you sink into it and it is much better than pitocin..also epidurals tend to lower your blood pressure and they are a much better option to try than magnesium (if your blood pressure is not scary high yet), honestly I would not fear the epidural at this point it could actually save you from a c-sec...best wishes to you mama!  You can do this positively use mantras if it helps..and patience

Thanks ladies!! Still @ 3 cm. Got permission to eat, which i have been, but it was nice to have a hot meal and not feel like I'm smoking in the bathroom in high school. Getting benadryl shortly and after a good night of sleep we start pitocin.

Anahata I will ask about the foley bulb. My doula and I just had the epidural convo, and she suggested the same thing. She said in this case epidural is far better than mag sulfate if the contractions and movement are raising bp. So we discussed with midwife and she agrees too.

Everyone is being reasonable and respectful. This not what I want, but Ihaven't felt pushed or bullied. I feel like everything we've done so far needed to be done.

Hang in there! I was induced last Thursday night, and had a baby by Friday evening! I got to 3-4 cm and we started pit and that is what made a huge difference for me.  We had a baby 4 hours later.  It was tough but fast! But don't mess around with preeclampsia.  I had a seizure about two hours after my daughter was born and oh, I wish we had been more aggressive about testing for and treating preeclampsia.

i had a lovely home waterbirth with my first, but wish I had taken an epidural this time around.  I think I would have better memories and it might have kept me from seizing.

Had a great sleep last night, ate breakfast, showered......and I regressed. Cervix is longer and only 1-2 CM now. So no pitocin. baby looks great still. Bp is ok mostly, but goes up sometimes, going to try a couple more doses of cytotec and wait on lab tests.

Thinking about you!

Argg!  That must be frustrating!  I am thinking of you today, hope all goes well!  I am going in today to get a biophysical because on Sunday I reach the 42 week mark!  Really not wanting to have one but want to make sure everything is going well in the womb.
