Update Queer Parenting Resources

Thread Starter

Hello everyone!

I have been working on updating the Resources section listed at the top of the Queer Parenting forum page.  Could y'all help me out with some suggestions as to what we could add?  Resources could be books, websites, groups, donor registries, sperm banks, etc.

Thank you,

Pokey

I found this link to be really helpful when choosing a sperm bank.

Awesome, Pokey, thanks!

I recommend The Queer Parents Primer, which is also by Brill.

As well, there's Confessions of the Other Mother: Non-Biological Lesbian Moms Tell All, which I didn't actually enjoy but is a significant book in terms of its topic.

And don't forget the classic Taking Charge of Your Fertility, which was the tome that began my now long-held habit of scrutinizing cervical mucus on a daily basis...

I really also enjoyed The Velveteen Father by Jesse Green.

A link to TTC abbreviations would be really helpful for the newcomers to the forum.

Thank you, Darcy, granite and seraf!  I added all of those to the list.  If anyone thinks of anything else, please let me know.

From the group that spearheaded gay marriage in MA, here's a page with state-specific legal info on parenting in the New England states. http://www.glad.org/rights/topics/c/parents-kids

In the "Know Your Rights" drop-down menu at the top, it also has links to publications that could be helpful to people in other states.
