the pill and antibiotics????

the pharmacist said my BCP would be less effective while on antibiotics. Does anybody here have any experience with this? How less effective are we talking? Should I be worried?

We're talking ineffective. Use a condom if you don't want to get pregnant.

'Fraid so. You should use a condom while taking ABs and for 7 days after the course is finished. The ABs affect the way the gut absorbs the hormones in the Pill.

I told my DH that but in the heat of the moment I guess he forgot. I just finished the week of placebo pills two days ago and am almost done with the antibiotics.

two days left till my placebo pills. Maybe I'll test tonight? 17-18 days since DTD

test was stalk white negative! I'm so happy about it. I never used to understand how people could say they were done but I finally understand. I think my DH should get the big V
