Is is ok for the little ones arms to be out of a soft structured carrier?

I finally got an Ergo, yay! My 23 lb DD had become so heavy that I was hestitant to wear her at all in the Moby.  We received the Ergo today and were tinkering around with it, but she really doesn't like having her arms in the carrier.  Is it ok for her arms to be outside? On both front and back? TIA!

I think it's fine as long as the back support comes up high enough that they can't throw themselves backwards and fall out.

My LO always wanted her arms out. She was fine in front carries but in back carries I could never get the back support high enough to feel safe when she was flinging herself around.

I think it is fine, especially at 23 pounds. Mine is 23 pounds and has his arms out unless it is cold or he is sleeping.

My 24 pound 10 month old pulls his own arms out over the too so I figured it was okay if he could do it himself. I usually put him in with his arms in and leave it up to him.

Yap, It's fine my DD's hand is usually out but she can also get it back-in when I ask her too. It can also help her explore around but watch-out when your shopping she will surely love to have her hands on those lovely displays..lol smile.gif
